We bought these cameras to use on our son's first car for helping him learn how to park. They are especially helpful for parallel parking! We have other children who will be driving before long as well and will continue to use them this way. We also have a minivan with a hitch and so can use this when towing as well. Set up was quick - maybe not the advertised "2-Min" - but definitely under 10 minutes. The cameras are attached to a metal bracket with holes to screw in with your license plate. Just unscrew the plate, slot in the bracket behind the plate (so you avoid covering parts of your plate), and screw back in. I elected not to use the monitor mount inside the car yet. There's pretty limited dash space in a Chevy Cruze, especially when there's already a phone mount in one of the vents. Given our application of parking practice, there's always someone in the passenger seat and we can just hold the monitor up for him. Speaking of size, the screen is pretty large but I find it is a good size. It is big enough to comfortably fit the two camera feeds side-by-side without being ridiculously large. Again, a bit big for our tiny Cruze, but that's not really the target application for these things anyway. The screen quality is good. Bright enough that you can see well day and night. You can easily switch between each camera individually or displaying both side-by-side. There's a surprising number of settings as well. Camera quality is solid as well. Not too over/underexposed and details are good. I wouldn't suggest using them to read a book but for not running into things when backing up, they'll get the job done. I can't comment on battery life and durability yet since we haven't had them long, but nothing feels cheap. The cameras don't have any gaps for water ingress and the charging port has a rubber cover to protect it. Very happy with this purchase, from install to usage.

After testing this camera for a few weeks, I can confidently say it outperforms some of the factory-installed reverse cameras I’ve used including my wife’s 2022 RAV4 and a 2020 Tundra I was test driving recently, and a few rental cars too that I’ve driven for business travel. One thing I wish the manufacturer would allow is the ability to adjust the width of the guide lines. The default overlay doesn’t perfectly match the width of my 2007 4Runner, so the scale feels slightly off. It’s not a dealbreaker for me since I’m familiar with my car’s dimensions, but my wife noticed it right away when she borrowed the vehicle. A simple firmware update that lets users fine-tune the guidelines would be a huge plus, but unsure if it will even be possible. Also since it’s wireless, there are occasional moments of latency or interference especially in areas like airport cell phone lots where there’s a ton of signal traffic. It’s rare, but just a heads up. That said, it’s been rock solid in every other aspect. The camera has survived both scorching desert heat and relentless Pacific Northwest downpours without a hiccup. I also love the solar charging feature and the fact that I can activate the camera while driving to check blind spots or monitor traffic behind me. Overall, it’s a reliable, crystal-clear camera system that feels premium and durable for the price. A few minor software tweaks could make it perfect though.

Make sure to charge before using. Connects quickly and easy to setup but there is a slight delay (< 1 second) between the camera and the screen. Not unexpected with a wireless backup camera so good value for money.

I purchased this camera because my factory installed camera quit working and I like this much better. The installation was a snap, even for an arthritic, elderly woman. I installed it on the bottom of the plate since the top blocked part of the plate, and the bottom view was preferred. The monitor screen (7'2) is very clear, provides the necessary lines for parking and gives a wide angle view. I wish there were a way to keep the monitor active longer, but it is easy to reactivate it if needed. It has been very overcast here and after 6 weeks, it showed the charge was down just a bar. I recharged it anyway to make sure that was working it was charged completely when I checked it just an hour later. Since I have one of those cars where the hood "vanishes" from the driver's seat, I wish I had ordered the dual cameras. I have ordered a second camera to put in the front so I can see how close I am. I had a little trouble finding it on Amazon, but I contacted the seller and after some confusion, they are sending it to me. I can hardly wait to receive it. I understand the dual system comes pre-paired, but this will not. Fingers crossed that it comes quickly and pairs as easily as it installs. Fingers crossed. UPDATE: New camera arrived and installed in a flash. WORTH NOTING: The new camera was set as a rear view and I needed it switched for the front view. I had a little trouble doing that because the instructions are not very detailed. But the support at the vendor was very helpful and I was eventually able to switch it so it works correctly. Also, if you have questions on a purchase or need support, be patient with the human support which is most likely not in your time zone. Email is the best communication, but every response is next day if you are US based. My original frustration was due to confusion with the CHAT AI - once I communicated directly to the seller, things went well and promises were honored. I also learned that the monitor can be set to stay on whenever the monitor is plugged in. It does drain the battery on the camera faster, but you can set it to record continually while the monitor is on. After the change, my cameras held a charge with continuous recording for several weeks. And it charges again very quickly. I highly recommend this product and this company.

I purchased the AUTO-VOX Solar Wireless Backup Camera with the 5-inch 1080P monitor, and overall I was very impressed with the product when it was working. Installation was incredibly easy and truly took only a couple of minutes. The camera quality was excellent, with a clear and sharp image both during the day and at night. The wireless connection worked well, and the solar charging feature was very convenient. It is a great setup for trucks, trailers, and SUVs, and I was initially very satisfied with my purchase. Unfortunately, after about three months of use, the monitor developed a strong burnt smell and stopped working completely. It smelled like an internal electronic component had burned out. This was very disappointing, especially considering the price of the system. If the monitor had continued to work, I would have easily given this product 5 stars because the camera performance and ease of installation were outstanding. However, due to the monitor failure after only a few months, I have lowered my rating to 3 stars. This is a very good camera system, but I am concerned about the long-term reliability of the monitor. I would love to replace it, but I am hesitant to spend that much money again if the same issue could happen.

I had a backup camera from AUTO-VOX prior to this one. The rechargeable battery finally died and I had to replace the camera. I really liked the first one I had purchased so I got this one and I am very happy with it. They have improved it significantly. The video is so clear I love it and as with the first one I had was super easy to install.. The original that I had was very nice but I am super impressed with the improvements they have made in it. Thank you. It is so very much worth the money.

The Auto Vox Solar Back Up camera is the second I have owned. This one also can be easily installed and doesn’t require any permanent wiring. I simply attached the camera with solar battery recharging unit to my license plate and plugged the monitor into the lighter plug in. Like my first one the image is sharp and reliable. I like that the newer model has a switch on the plug in to turn the camera on if I want to do it manually. Overall the battery life is good. In the winter months I have to self charge it on occasion due to lack of natural sunlight. In the summer it is no problem. I have found the manual helpful and I keep it in my glove compartment for easy access. It is an essential product for those of us with older vehicles without build in units. I have a blind spot backing out of my driveway and this really helps. Overall I think my Auto Vox solar back up camera was a good purchase and I would recommend it.

Leichte Installation. Einfache Koppelung. Zur Sicherheit habe ich die Kamera mit dem Rahmen mit 2 Schrauben und Unterlegscheiben in die Stoßstange geschraubt. Das Display habe ich über den Rückspiegel befestigt (mit Klettband) So wird der Rückspiegel auch seiner Funktion gerecht im Wohnmobil. Die Kamera habe ich für die Fahrt auf Dauer umgestellt. Der kleine Ein-/Ausschalter an der Kamera dürfte etwas kräftiger leuchten. Bei Tageslicht nur schwer zu erkennen, ob die rote Leuchte auch wirklich leuchtet. Ansonsten sind wir für die erste Ausfahrt in den Urlaub sehr zufrieden. Endlich sieht man auch während der Fahrt nach hinten. Bild super scharf. Stand heute, würde ich das Ding wieder kaufen. Der Akku scheint extrem lange zu halten.
