I had been suffering from vaginal pain and burning for several weeks went to my PCP three times over 3 months with the complaint of vaginal burning, but not getting satisfactory response, made an appointment with an OBGYN which took another 2 months to get in to see. The OBGYN provider immediately recognized the symptoms of menopausal vaginal atrophy and prescribed a $300.00 estrogen cream. The package noted it could take up to 4 weeks to work.
