Not my first gate opener (or rodeo) so I can compare a bit. Glad I didn't get the lighter duty; I would call medium duty of this brand "light". Anyway, good price, and it works, but you have to follow the instructions carefully, and they're not intuitive. For instance, there is no adjusting the opening, only the closing position, and a tiny adjustment of the screw changes even a short gate a lot! So, careful does it. Be prepared to splice wires, no long wires are attached to the operators, and you'll need to make sure they're weatherproof, so marine grade heat shrink (with adhesive) is needed. Other than that, they seem to work well, and time will tell! I like the lock option; makes it all more stable when closed.

Purchased and installed this opener about 8 months ago. The installation went smoothly and received some excellent help as the controller board needed to be replaced. Zack at customer support provided excellent troubleshooting at the time and stayed engaged with me until we worked it out.Now, 8 months later I was having trouble as the gate would not open fully after a large storm in the area. Once again I contacted Zack and he provided excellent troubleshooting assistance. The opener is once again performing flawlessly. Thanks to the company for the excellent product and to Zack for great customer support.

I was pretty skeptical at first of this product because the price seemed too good to be true. But as my custom gates went a little over budget I needed to save. I purchased this kit and it all arrived in good condition. The install was really easy! The wiring was very simple and mounting the kit was no problem. However once I started to use the gate it was a nightmare. Sometimes one would close, sometimes both. Most of the time one gate would stop at like 1/3 open then close on it's own. I thought the computer board was fried. I reached out to the tech support via email and was ready to send the kit back. But within 24 hours I got a response from Zack and the email was super helpful. I ran some easy tests and he determined I needed to install 2 resistors on the actuators. They do make you buy these actuators but they are like $8 bucks. But because of the trouble they sent me 2 free wireless remotes. Once I installed the resistors the gates worked perfectly. Never had an issue again. I asked Zack why these aren't included in the original package and he told me that because I ordered the medium duty kit, sometimes the gates aren't actually heavy enough for the actuators to feel the resistance so they can't operate normally. My gates are about 150 lbs each so I probably could have gotten away with the light duty but I feel better knowing I bought the better kit. Overall I am very happy with my purchase but if you buy these TRUST TECH SUPPORT. They will help you and make it right.

These gate openers work really well, being both smooth and quiet. The included installation instructions are complete and accurate, and TOPENS also has an excellent support service should you encounter any issues. The step by step instructions for both the installation on the gates and the associated wiring connections for the control boxes are easy to follow and within the capacity of any DIY person. Highly recommended product!

I bought this in the summer and was very impressed. Easy to install, seemingly good quality and easy to set up and adjust. It worked well until the temperature started to cool for winter and at about -15C (3 f) it becomes inoperable. If it warms up a bit it works fine. I guess I have to leave the gates open for the next 5 months.

The media could not be loaded.  All the hardware is solid / HD.The electronics all work, customer support was super helpful when I had a little pairing issue, all resolved via email within hours.

I have this opener installed for the past 4 month now. I have a double swing gate, each gate panel is about 120 lbs only, very light in weight. And I have constant issues with the opener, once or twice a week, the gates will not close properly, 1 panel is fully closed the other is few inches apart, sometimes halfway open. I live in a country side, so when there are winds, I know the gate will mulfunction, as any smallest pressure (wind) against the gate will have it not close properly. Constantly have to adjust the openers manually to return them to original position. Very disappointed after spending around $1500 with all the accessories.Update : few more month pass, and now there is another problem. The main gate will mulfunction every other time regardless of the wind, it will stop after making only 20 to 25% of the way and will stay open, while the other gate will close. Very dissapointed.
