Zojirushi AHGB-10DRA Thermal Serve Carafe, 1.0L, 1L, Red

Just what I needed. The smallest amount of coffee my coffee maker makes is four cups. (I do like my amounts pre - measured.) l needed away to preserve my coffee taste and warmth. This glassed lined vacuum carafe works for both. Easy to clear, keeps coffee hot from breakfast to dinner, has to pouring openings. You can tilt the pot on it’s head while pouring without spills.

Zojirushi is an excellent brand and gold standard for thermal flasks and carafes. Made in Japan. Keeps hot water piping hot for hours. So convenient to always have hot water on hand for tea. No smell or weird taste. Love the functionality. Simple and clean design. Simply twist the lid to open or close to pour. The red color is very pretty. Says it’s made of “medical grade equivalent borosilicate glass”. It’s become an essential everyday item. Also highly recommend the Zojirushi flasks. I’ve been using the same one for over 10 years. They are amazing.

Great carafe. Zojirushi is the best for style and heat retention. Seals well and keeps water/coffee hot for 8 hours.

It does a great job of keeping my tea hot for a few hours, which is all I really wanted. Because it’s glass lined plastic, it doesn’t perform as well as dual walled stainless, but I hate the metallic taste that inevitably comes with those thermoses, so I accept the compromise. It’s easy to clean, pours easily, and the lid seals pretty well. The lid isn’t insulated, so you’ll lose some heat there. At this price point, I think it does a good job overall and I’m happy with it. I’ve got Zojirushi appliances that have lasted 20 years, so I expect this should be with me for a while. I’m not wild about the plastic, but the red color is cheerful and brightens my counter.

I boiled water for tea on Sunday night, filled my cup, and placed the remaining water into the Zojirushi carafe. I forgot to empty it when I was finished. It is now Thursday morning, and the water was still warm when I dumped it to clean and refill. Buy this carafe!!

Nice carafe. A bit tight on cleaning the glass but otherwise it does what it is supposed to. Two criticisms: 1. To close it up after pouring you really have to turn it hard, which my wife is unable to do. You can leave it snug, but not fully shut, but that tends to have the coffee cool a little faster. 2. I wish it had a button or lever to release the coffee. It really isn't a big deal to turn the dial/top half way in order to pour; it's just me being picky.

My OH is using this for keeping tea hot throughout the work day. She proclaimed it to be her new favorite thing. So, that's pretty good, right? Good, solid, classic design. Glass vacuum bottle inside and a clean functional design on the outside. Does the job very nicely and looks good doing it. Zojirushi made a good product here and then priced it right. Can't think of anything negative to say. Two thumbs up.

There is water in the carafe. Even the box that came with the carafe is wet. A bit disappointed with it.

I wanted a glass-lined flask and although I was hesitant with the outer shell made of plastic, this flask is well made. It keeps hot water hot for many hours, even when it was half-filled. Best part is, there is no metal or plastic taste in the water.

It is made in Japan but not China. That explains everything, right?
