2/4/23 update - bought a second pair for my laundry room door. Once again, perfect fit, easy install and I have more entry/exit room. I can also remove a washer or dryer without removing the door from the hinges.Original review -Heavy duty, precise fit, simple installation, work great for giving an extra bit of door frame clearance.New granddaughter arrived and we needed an extra 1 1/2 inches to be able to move a portable bassinet into and out of the room without disassembling the bassinet or taking the bedroom door off each time.These hinges worked perfect. I pulled the hinge pins and installed one side of the hinge on the door and the other on the frame.There is enough of an offset on the frame side hinge to pass over the door trim without any interference or woodworking required to narrow the thickness of the door trim.Once the two hinge halves were installed, I fitted the hinges together and tapped the hinge pins into place. It was a hollow core door, so it was light. A solid core door would probably be a 2-person operation.Very happy with the quality and utility of these hinges. Based on my experience, I highly recommend these hinges. Hope that helps!

Perfect solution to add 2+ inches to my old farmhouse doorway. I'm wheelchair bound and it was an economical option rather than replacing doors and doorways. I just ordered another set for bathroom door.

I had a handyman install these, so my expenses are more than some other people who are into DYI projects.The hinges are attractive and function as advertised. I wish I had these installed sooner to save the moldings on my doorways, but now I have them installed and they work great. No issues with alignment or any need to cut anything away.I thought they are a bit pricey. As soon as anything becomes an item for the "disabled or handicapped," the prices soar!

This offset hinge works very well. It allows the door to swing all the way back out of the doorway opening so that you have the full width clear to navigate through. Surprisingly, it doesn't make the door swing oddly as I imagined it would - it just seamlessly swings wider. I don't think most people using the door would even notice any difference vs. a regularly-hinged door unless they use a wheelchair and had to navigate through - then YOU BET they notice how nice and wide the opening is! This product adds about 2" to the opening of the door.I took a little off for ease of installation - we couldn't use the second set I bought in the bathroom like I hoped because in that room the door is so close to the wall there isn't enough clearance - we'd have to chip out the wall board. If you have a door that the doorknob actually touches the wall you might measure to see if you have enough room to fit this hinge. It has to go at the same height as the original hinge but instead of being screwed on the inside of the door frame it's screwed onto where your trim boards that go around the door outside the opeing are. From the opening to the wall you need at least 3.75 inches. My bathroom had 2.5
