High quality!
Unlike most sprinkles, these taste like good quality chocolate. Very tasty on buttered toast, they also work fine on Rudesheim Coffee, ice cream or anywhere else chocolate sprinkles are wanted.

Pure Chocolate Sprinkles Delicious!
THE GREATEST CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES EVER! I used to work in Holland several times a year and there were 2 food items I always came back home with. I fit as many boxes of these chocolate sprinkles in my suitcase as possible. Sometimes I was thinking of how it looked when I bought all the sprinkles the shop keeper had. And then went looking for more at another shop. Now, all I need to do is place my Amazon order and they arrive at my front door. These sprinkles are PURE chocolate! If you were to put some in your hand and just eat them, you can feel it on your taste buds and your tongue that it is pure Chocolate. There’s nothing artificial, there is no wax that coats your tongue after you eat them. It is just pure, chocolate. You will enjoy using them on cookies, cakes, ice cream, puddings, toast, whipped cream, and so much more. And this is a very large box that can keep for a very long time. You will never buy “chocolate “ sprinkles at the supermarket again. If you make cannolis, imagine dipping the ends in these purely delicious bits Of pure goodness. Yum. CJ

Arrived Completely Inedible! 🤢
I should have looked at the reviews with pics before ordering from this seller but I didn’t. Big mistake. A friend of mine had a box of the De Ruijter’s Milk Chocolate sprinkles & the De Ruijter’s Dark Chocolate sprinkles & I fell in love with them when I tried them. So shiny, smooth with an ever so slight silky creaminess to them. I could eat them by the handfuls. I didn’t know where she purchased them but I thought I’d order them here off Amazon. Another big mistake. I ordered them for overnight delivery, even paid extra to have them delivered overnight 4am-8am so they’d be here at my home in the morning before it got hot outside from the Texas heat. Well I was thrilled to find them here early this morning, delivered at 8:39am, sitting at my doorstep, in the shade, waiting for me. Now keep in mind the boxes of De Ruijter’s sprinkles my friend had were sitting on her shelf in 95+ degrees for a couple of days because her A/C went out at her house yet even today they still look shiny & luscious (top row in pic) The sprinkles in the boxes I received this morning (bottom row in pic) are ugly, dry, pale, crumbly pieces that remind me of dry mouse/rat 💩. So it’s not an overheating/melting & Re-cooling issue. According to the boxes I received they are good until 1/2024 so not yet expired, what happened to my sprinkles? These were not what I was expecting to receive when I placed my order of both the milk chocolate & dark chocolate versions. Too say I’m extremely disappointed is an understatement & a complete waste of money & time. Being they are food products Amazon doesn’t offer refunds or exchanges. Because of this disaster I will not be buying these off Amazon again. Which is a shame because I can’t find these locally in any of our grocery stores or specialty food shops.

Just buy it
United States sprinkles, or “jimmies” as we used to call them growing up, taste waxy and have a bland flavor if any at all. I’d been to Holland and loved their chocolate, so thought I’d try these. Even at this price point, which is high, they’re worth it. They’re remarkably chocolatey! My teen daughters and I enjoy them sprinkled on raspberry “nice” cream (2 C frozen raspberries, 1 peeled frozen banana and about 1/2 C non-dairy milk blended in a Vitamix) for an evening treat. Liked the first box so much I ordered three more in bulk to get the discount. A little goes a long way, too. You won’t regret trying these! They are quite delicious and I have found myself sneaking little handfuls here and there too.

A Little Dutch Background...!
To say I LOVE this product is an understatement! I will also say I LOVE visiting Holland (the Netherlands) every 4 or 5 years with my wife who lived there for 12 years! Hagelslag - the Dutch word for Jimmies, is one of the pure joys of a real Dutch breakfast. In Holland, their “Jimmies” actually come in three versions - Melk (milk chocolate), Puur (dark chocolate) and Purr Royal (extra dark chocolate). I have NEVER seen our U. S. Jimmies in any of these versions - here, you take what you get! Melt in your mouth - absolutely! US Jimmies - not so much! Of course, my infatuation with this product does exist partially because I have experienced MANY Dutch breakfasts, and have seen how these products are shared (and revered) by the Dutch. Can I buy a huge jug of our Jimmies for just a little money? Sure, but once you experience this product in its natural setting - there is no turning back! Oh, and as for the white specks or coating some have commented about - that is the sugar coming out of the chocolate when the hagelslag has been stored (or shipped) in high temperatures. Are the bad - nope. Just look a bit strange. (For the record, I arrange my orders to occur in cooler months, and also store them in my refrigerator!) So there you have it - amazing product with an endearing tradition. Don’t want to pay $13-$15 for a box of Jimmies? No worries! As for me, I am THRILLED that I can order these on Amazon, instead of trying to convince visiting Dutch friends to stash a box in their luggage for me. Net result, I can re-live my fond memories of my trips to Holland on any morning - until our next journey to the lovey Netherlands! Hoe Mooi!
