Can you add a spoonful of this directly to coffee to use as a powdered creamer, or do you have to reconstitute it with water and let it set overnight?

Ugh-lumpy coffee creamer. Had even tried mixing it in a blender. Better, but still lumpy. Was going to throw it away, but then saw the tip for starting with cold water. Whoever wrote that tip, thank you :- )

Question 2

You say, "Do the math."  So how many cup-fulls (volume) in this jar?

Accepted Answer

Firstly, ounces are units Weight.
Cups and Tbs are measures of volume.
Calculations are approximate.

According to my calculations, 1 lb of powdered cream will give you 16.5 cups of liquid cream. See my math below.

My answer in volumetric units

1 Cup= 16 Tbs
3/8 Cup is approximately 6 Tbs

16 Tbs (water) + 6 Tbs (powder) = 22 Tbs, or 1 3/8 cups of cream or 
1.38 cup

Number of 'batches' of liquid cream from 1 lb, or 75 Tbs

75/6 = 12.5

12.5 batches of 1.38 cups cream
12.5 x 1.38= 16.5 cups reconstituted cream.

Can this be used to make whipped cream?

Accepted Answer

Yes but you first must use 3/8 cup with water and let it sit over night in your refrigerator. Then mix and use as you would if you were going to make a whipped cream or use heavy cream for a white sauce mix. It will not instantly thicken it needs to sit with the water to thicken. The instructions are on the label. I followed that and it worked just like the regular liquid heavy cream.

Can you use this to make whipped cream?

BuYes you can and should. But it will not if you attempt to whip it when your add water to it and try whipping at that time. To have it whip up as cold whipping cream does, mix it with your water, put it in the refrigerator overnight and then whip it until it peaks. Easy and simple to do. Just spend a little more time prepping it one day before and let it sit overnight in your refrigerator.
