I recently purchased the TORRAS 2025 Top Portable Waist Fan, and I have to say, it’s one of the best cooling gadgets I’ve ever owned. The ultra-light design makes it super comfortable to wear all day, whether I’m working outside, running errands, or just relaxing at home. The belt fits snugly without feeling bulky, and the strong wind it produces — up to 26 ft/s — keeps my entire body cool and refreshed. What I love most is the innovative cooling tech and the wide coverage area—no more sweating in awkward spots! It’s rechargeable and easy to control, with different speed settings for just the right breeze. I’ve used it during outdoor projects and on hot summer days, and it truly makes a difference. The battery lasts surprisingly long, giving me hours of nonstop coolness, and it’s lightweight enough that I forget I’m even wearing it. I should praise its power, comfort, and versatility. If you need a reliable, powerful, and EASY way to stay cool while working or relaxing outdoors, this waist fan is a game-changer. It’s a MUST-HAVE for anyone who values staying fresh and comfortable in the heat!

Overall, it's a cool idea (see what I did there), but think about "how" you expect to use it. I also tried the Coolify2 neck cooling device. First of all, this is a portable fan rather than the thermoelectric (primary) cooling of the Coolify2. It does have a pouch containing a layer of heat-sensitive gel that goes against your body, but that part is a less effective way to move heat- and only works when it's against your skin. Different ways you might wear it that DIDN'T work for me: * On your lower back over your clothes: No cooling effect since evaporative cooling requires blowing over your skin, and the fan is too small to really cool the back of your head (and it's probably angled wrong for that). The gel isn't in contact with your skin either. * On your waist over your clothes: Similar, but a little more useful since your head sticks out more in front, you might catch a slight breeze. But barely enough to be worth the effort. if you have a gut, it's in the way. Oops. * Under your clothes: Kind of like flapping your shirt to cool off. If there's enough room to get some airflow, it might help, but again it's evaporative cooling, so it needs to move the moisture off your skin, which it can't do without sufficient airflow. * Over your clothes across your upper chest: Now we're talking... or we're not, because it's surprisingly loud when it's less than a foot below your ears. Quite the awkward look, but you get a nice breeze on your face/chin. But too loud, even on the lowest setting. * Across your belly: Nope, if you have any kind of a gut, it's uncomfortable and will mis-angle the airflow. * As a portable fan (not worn): Not powerful enough and negates the point of its minaturized design. Get a camping fan. One way that DID work: * On your bare skin: This was the only mode that worked. Worn across my lower back (shirtless), on a sweaty hot yardwork day, it actually helped by constantly cooling my skin as I worked. I was still hot but it added some comfort. The noise level is fine with the additional separation from myears. But note any bending or stooping changes the angle so it stops blowing on my skin. Mind, this is only effective if the dew point is sufficient for evaporation off your skin, and if you plan to be shirtless. Even so, I think the Coolify2 works better for the same uses (I tested on the same day). Other notes: USB-C based charging. thank you. Carry bag is included along with 2 lengths of elastic wearing straps. Since it straps on, it won't fall off. Other thoughts: mine might have been a bad copy, but the last charge LED kept blinking after extended charging, so possible defect or charging issue. The power button (pictured) is also the intensity setting, and it's sort of a pain to find it when worn behind you. For me, the Coolify2 is preferable in every case I would wear this product, and if it's not on my person, I'd rather use a more powerful external fan (ie a camping fan). As much as I like the innovation of this fan, mine ended up going back because I couldn't envision using it with any frequency. Go through my list and think about how you'd wear it before buying.

Much like my previous reviews for other COOLiFY fans, I've found this one to be an amazing improvement to my comfort as a mascot/fursuiter. I hadn't tried a waist fan before this one, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I must say I was certainly not disappointed! The unit itself is made of some pretty sturdy polymer (ABS, aka: Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene for any fellow chemistry enthusiasts) with 6 open slits each on the left and right side for blowing air. I have noticed that the product differs in the mechanisms in which it cools you off. Specifically, this fan does NOT actually cool the air, like some of the other products. I certainly didn't find that this caused any significant drawbacks though, as I found the high-output air flow to be more than sufficient to help circulate air inside my suits. It has three modes, like the product page mentions, but I often found the first power level to be sufficient in most cases. I must mention one drawback with these modes, and that is the fact that they can be relatively loud on the higher settings. For me, this wasn't an issue since others can't hear it when I'm in suit, but for those wearing it like normal people (boring) it might be best to keep it to the lower settings when using it around others (unless you're already somewhere loud, of course). The cooling material (PCM, phase-change material) that sits against your body when you wear the fan works differently than the cooling "plates" seen on other COOLiFY products; It works similarly to holding an ice cube, in that it has a phase change (ie: melting point) at ~80°F, where it will slowly melt (don't worry, it's not gonna leak out), releasing some refreshing coolness to your skin/clothing. The fan comes with a comfortable elastic belt which can be adjusted to fit different body shapes. I've got a slight belly bump, so I had to make sure I fit it correctly to angle the air flow at my face rather than away from me. Only a couple cons I can think of here: The battery indicator is a series of three small LED lights, rather than a percentage display like some other COOLiFY fans have. This model is NOT compatible with the TORRAS app, which I was a bit bummed out about. Like I previously mentioned, it gets a bit loud at higher power levels. Despite these small drawbacks, my experience with it has been awesome, and I look forward to continuing to reap the benefits for however long it lasts, especially with summer coming up (+90°F weather in fursuit, count me in!). I'm glad I had the opportunity to try out this unique fan, and I certainly will continue coming back to TORRAS if I ever need something like this again.

I love TORRAS neck fans, Coolify and Coolify Cyber. I don’t know why they decided to completely change cooling design on waist fan. You had great cooling technology and for the waist fan you get plastic layer filled with water or some liquid. Why???????? I wore both neck fan and waist fan to mow grass in 78F weather for two hours. Measured temperatures with the digital thermometer. The neck fan where it makes contact with skin - nice cold 69-70F. The waist fan where it makes contact with skin is 84F, the air it blows is 76F. Ambient temperature in my house is 74F. TORRAS, you guys have great cooling technology and approach with your neck fans. Fire whoever decided to abandon that and completely flop this waist fan. That liquid layer does not do anything. Where is that cooling layer that changes colors? I’m returning these waste fans and gonna wait for version 2. Disappointing.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the Coolify and would confidently recommend it for anyone navigating hot, humid conditions—especially in places like Florida. Its performance, thoughtful design, and versatility make it a standout among personal cooling devices. The IVA convinced me to purchase two more products. First Impressions & Packaging The unboxing experience is premium and satisfying. Everything—from the device itself to the accessories—feels curated with care. The (I believe it was braided or I swapped it with another Torras Device) braided charging cable with a right-angle connector and pass-through is a particularly nice touch, useful even during car rides. Cooling Performance Coolify performs impressively well. I typically wear it under a shirt facing forward, especially during hikes, theme park visits, or long city walks. Even in peak humidity, it keeps me cool across an entire 8-hour day using a mix of high and low settings. A minor quirk: when worn under clothing, some fabric can get sucked into the fan, slightly affecting airflow. But this hasn’t significantly hindered its overall effectiveness. Cooling Gel Use The cooling gel insert is most effective after being frozen, but I’m unclear about its continued benefit once it warms to ambient temperature. It seems to enhance initial cooling, but how much it contributes later on isn’t entirely clear. Portability & Accessories The included carrying bag is simple but thoughtfully organized—it’s great for grab-and-go use with multiple Coolify devices. I do find the cords are a bit confusing at first, but I like that I can wear or carry the bag in multiple ways. While I slightly prefer the premium hard cases that come with other models, this bag earns points for its flexibility. That said, I tend to carry the unit in my crossbody bag for convenience. The Iva has a clip. The neck fan sits on your neck or easily through a belt loop or bag strap. But the waist fan doesn’t have a strong resting position for carrying but not using. Versatility One unexpected but welcome discovery: I can set the Coolify on a table during outdoor meals and use it as a personal fan. On the low setting, it offers a gentle ambient breeze—especially effective when paired with a PVA cooling towel for quick skin evaporation. Final Thoughts Coolify combines functionality, comfort, and thoughtful design into one compact unit. Its ergonomic shape works well both on bare skin and over light clothing, and the battery easily supports a full day’s use. There are small areas for improvement (like fabric-suction or clearer gel use instructions), but overall, it’s a well-executed and reliable tool for beating the heat.

Unfortunately there are some issues. The cons.. - Yes this is pricey Without much to compare it, to I find it could be a little cheaper. Considering the flaws. - When it works That level three is Respectful, however, if you're 6"0/+ height You're gonna find that the size and surface area of the airflow. It's limited apportion of your backside, our front side. - Speaking on body shape, if you're a curvy, you're going to find this product frustrating, unless you're built like a plank of wood, you're going to find that the airflow does not hit, ideally, where you would want it - Prepare to adjust the belt a lot - When the gel becomes a liquid, it actually it's pretty uncomfortable. And kinda just Traps heat and moisture. Hi would recommend with stipulations if you're using it for moderate physical Conditions in a moderate- high weather conditions Excluding water. Not warehouse Not really for joggers Not for Those with more to love.

Lifelong Hyperhydrosis patient here. I’ve tried countless personal cooling devices trying to stay cool and limit my sweating so I can live a normal life. From skin cooling wrist “watches”, to neck cooling fans with and without the metal ice plates, vests that hold ice cubes, Kickstarter campaign that literally circulated ice water around inside a vest, I’ve tried it all. I just searched my past Amazon purchases for “fan” and have 84 orders, I’m shocked it’s not double that. I’ve even had surgery in attempt to correct my bad genetics of over sweating. Best money I have ever spent BY FAR on helping my oversweating was two of the original Coolify fans, along with three of this model, the Zone 2. While the Zone 2 is a tiny bit thicker, the increased air it moves is absolutely noticeable and worth the added width. I bought 2 more once I realized how much better they were over the first model. So yes, I have 5 of these and they are worth every penny. I wear just one at a time, but always have one plugged in at work and one at home, and 3 of them travel wherever I go. I wear it on my back pointing upwards, and even on the low setting, the constant flow of air up my back helps cool my body down better than anything other cooling product I’ve ever used. Yes, it works quite well even when outside cutting the grass. I still sweat of course, but much much less than when I don’t wear it. I believe it’s because of the heat dissipation it allows covering my entire back side. Would love to see a thin versions has a unit on front and back to allow airflow up both sides. I’ve spent thousands, nothing compares to the heat this thing removes from my body with it being able to be secretly hidden under my shirt and constantly blowing upwards. I wear scrubs at work, so my shirt is open on the bottom to allow open air flow. I never wear tucked in shirts because if my sweating, so I can’t comment on its effectives in that scenario, but these are an absolutely life changer for me when wearing untucked shirts. The low setting is fairly quiet and never noticed at my job, it’s not until I’m busy and starting to sweat, and crank it up to level 2 or 3, that my coworkers notice that my fan is doing its thing. Others at my hospital have bought this model and swear by it as well. I just bought a Zone 3 and going to try it out. Figured I’d give Torras some appreciation and write a review for their Zone 2 while I’m at it. I wear this product literally everywhere, not just at work, and it has certainly made an impact in my life. Much appreciated to the Torras people for making this product. I really hope they read this, because if they ever decide to stop making these, I’d like to be notified so I can buy enough to last me a lifetime. For a person suffering from lifelong Hyperhydrosis, this product is the needle in the haystack I’ve waited for my entire life. Something that actually cools me down enough to make me noticeably sweat less.

I bought this for my part time job that can get hot but don’t like the neck fans hanging on my neck with the noise. I decided on this waist fan because I thought it would be quieter and the main reason the cooling plate. It was a letdown and reasons below: •The cooling plate/pad they have prominently featured does close to nothing. They make it seem like it’s some ingenious design that looks like a cooling plate like some neck fans have…it’s not. It’s basically an ice pack material that starts hard and melts when touching skin. Though I felt a slight cooling in that area it was barely noticeable and only a few minutes. •The fan itself is okay and powerful on the highest setting but it doesn’t blow cool air. I tried it under my shirt on skin and over shirt and both times I was getting warm air, which didn’t help cool me down. •The air flow through has a pretty long area to release air, I felt it only hit my stomach and part of my chest. It may help with under boob sweat for some. •Lastly, it’s pretty loud. I couldn’t hear anyone talking or the tv without cranking the volume up. The device itself is nice and well made. It arrived well packaged and with a carry bag and detailed instructions. For reference I don’t get super hot under 80 degrees and I am a woman that weighs 135. So I thought this would be perfect for what I needed. I tried it on in two places: my house doing chores and a walk in 75 degrees. I’m very disappointed with how the company markets this device. They should be more transparent in how they advertise it in their bigger descriptions, especially cooling pad/plate. Because of this I’ll never buy from this company again because they have given me trust issues with their brand. I see from some reviewers it worked for them but I have to question did they use it more than a few hours in serious heat? Because I don’t see it helping in those scenarios.
