KOOKABURRA Men's Modern Cricket Shoe

These shoes didn’t come in the original Kookaburra shoe box (supposedly because the box was damaged and instead it was sent in an Amazon box). While I can be sure that these shoes should have come with some spare spikes as is often the case with Kookaburra cricket shoes I’ve bought in the past. Otherwise, I do wonder if the shoes themselves are genuine Kookaburra cricket shoes as they do look and feel flimsy, very light weight, thin and poorly made (in China), when the only reason I bought this model was that Kookaburra themselves said that this model would provide more toe protection than any of their other shoes! 🤷‍♂️ Moreover, before playing in them for the first time on Saturday, 21st June, I tried tightening the spikes as the spikes on new cricket shoes are often too lose and they come off during the first game. When trying to tighten the spikes, which were indeed loose, the spike key quickly broke (see attached pic) making me even more convinced that these shoes are not genuine Kookaburra shoes as I’ve never had a spike key break like this, especially the first time it was used on clean shoes with loosened spikes!! If I could, I would return these shoes but unfortunately on Saturday my son had no other cricket shoes to wear so he had to wear them (or not play the game) i.e. the shoes have now been used.
