NF-A4x10 5V PWM

I've used Noctua fans in several home-build computers. Great quality and whisper quiet. This Noctua NF-A4x10 5V PWM comes with mounting hardware and USB adapter cable. Plug it in to any USB-A power source and it's on. Compact and quiet. Small size does not provide huge airflow. Yet perfect for quietly cooling small electronics. I have it on top of our cable modem which gets very hot without a fan.

Build quality is excellent, noise is very minimal, and the 40 millimeter depth allows for extra airflow. You may not enjoy the color but I'm confident you will enjoy the quality and performance. Used to cool to steering wheel pedal sets they perform quite well and are nearly silent. Cooling is very efficient. These can be mounted with screws or with the included rubber grommets. Please bear in mind these are for 5 volt current not 12 volt. They will work with both PWM or direct voltage applications

I’m using these in a 1U server and they work great at keeping the hard drives cool. They move plenty of air for their size and are surprisingly quiet, especially compared with the fans that came with the server case. Very happy with them.

Running for almost 6 years non-stop. Audible but quiet. It is being used to cool a Roku 4K stick that persistently overheats and crashes, but no more!

Great little fan and worth the extra couple of clams for the quality! Super low noise and zero vibration. Comes as a well equipped kit with many adapters. I tried two other brands before picking up this fan. You won’t regret it.

Great fans, good adapter, however, the two pack only came with one USB adapter and no splitter which is frustrating when two 1 packs would be about the same price…

Zip tied this using the open vent grates to the top of a modern Seagate Expansion external hard drive. Added electrical tape to all other exposed area at the top to ensure the fan would have to pull cool air through the open grate at the bottom of the housing. SMART reported temps dropped from 50-55 degrees C under heavy load to not budging over 35 degrees C. Perfect fit for the 40mm case. The fan is fairly audible at full speed, but I will use PWM through an Arduino to control the fan speed dynamically with the drive temp. Great option if you need to keep small electronics cool! No idea what Seagate was thinking by relying on passive convection to cool such a hot drive, but this Noctua saved the day.

Der Noctua NF-A4x10 5V PWM ist für mich einer der besten Lüfter in dieser Größenklasse – da gibt es eigentlich nicht viel zu sagen. Die Verarbeitung ist, wie von Noctua gewohnt, erstklassig und der Lüfter arbeitet trotz seiner kompakten Abmessungen angenehm leise. Dank der PWM-Regelung lässt sich die Drehzahl präzise anpassen, sodass bei geringer Last kaum etwas zu hören ist und bei Bedarf trotzdem eine überzeugende Kühlleistung zur Verfügung steht. Zum Lieferumfang gehören zudem hochwertiges Zubehör wie Entkoppler und Adapter, sodass einer unkomplizierten Installation nichts im Weg steht. Wer Wert auf Qualität, Langlebigkeit und einen leisen Betrieb legt, macht mit diesem Lüfter nichts falsch. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

I bought this fan as I wanted to use it as an extractor on a Raspberry Pi case - I needed something small, silent and low voltage so it could be run from the Pi's USB ports. This fan achieved all those goals and more! It came with a USB adapter, which left the cable pretty long - too long to go a few cm into a USB port on the side of a Pi - so I cut the wires and soldered the USB connector directly on to the wires leaving the fan housing - very simple to do thanks to the nice design from Noctua and it's happily doing its job of keeping a Raspberry Pi nice and cool. Obviously at 5v it doesn't have a lot of oomph, but for its size and how silent it is, it does move a good amount of air. Impressed and recommended for smaller projects such as Raspberry Pi based builds!

Ventola molto silenziosa. Arriva con una ricca fornitura di cavi ed accessori per la sua installazione. La sto adoperando per raffreddare un hotspot su base Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Plus, che si sa scalda molto. Bene riesco a mantenere una temperatura compresa tra i 28° ed i 36°. Prova superata a pieni voti. Consigliata.

The added USB cable saved me a lot of headache. Really good documentation on the cable colors. All in all a very good fan :)
