Pre-Charge inverters capacitors prior to turning inverter on
I am writing this review to save you guys some headaches and possibly save you some money. This inverter is big and heavy and that's why I purchased. I assume with weight I am getting quality. The transformer inside is a little loud but to be expected with this this size 6000 watt inverter and besides it resides in the basement of my RV and doable. I had a Victron battery shunt 500amp in my solar set up and it totally burned the circuit board when I turned on the inverter. It produced Mega surge and I was suppose to pre-charge the inverters capacitors with a jump resistor, wire or anything (even a light bulb) prior to turning on the inverter. A simple wire would of worked. You know when you touch battery components and you get a spark well this is more than a little spark. It must have big capacitors inside the inverter. The pre-charge option does not state this anywhere in the manual. I purchased a 50ohm 50 watt resistor on Amazon ($6.99) for anytime that I lose power as I don't want to blow anything else up including my new Victron shunt. The wire or resistor touches from the battery source or positive and to the inverter positive source but with the battery switch turned off (no power to inverter yet). With the wire or resistor in place for 10 seconds keep wire in place and turn on the inverter and now should not have a spark. I used the Inverter all day today and it shut off and did a reboot a couple of times and I was confused as to why. I turned off the "SAVER" mode which is suppose to turn off the inverter I guess when not in use. It was in use but I was only using about 200-300 watts at the time when it shut off momentarily. After turning off saver mode or economy mode It did not shut off again. Right now I have the inverter in charge mode at 15 amps. It will charge up to 50 Amps but I like a easy cool setting of 15A. I am also using very heavy cable 4/0 welding wire in my 48V solar bank setup, at least from the batteries to the battery switch then to bus bar and then to inverter. The rest MPPT wire etc. I use 6 gauge welding wire with Wire Ferrule Connectors that will save you some frustration when trying to insert into MPPT controllers and Breakers. Overall I like the inverter and it's charging capability. I like that the remote monitor control can be disconnected from the inverter and use the supplied 30 foot Cat6 cable which makes it easy to read and adjust settings. I have other VEVOR products mainly in my wood shop and I consider their products top quality. Overall Happy with this purchase and it should last a long time. I will update in a year. I forgot to mention that the inverter has a built in transfer switch (ATS). So the AC line goes directly into the inverter and then the output line of course goes to the load side of AC. What I like about the inverters AC input is that the AC output stays on even when the inverter is off! So you don't even need a transfer switch. The inverter will use 28 watts when turned on in battery mode, so if your not going to use the inverter for long periods of time best to turn off. I wired the remote to reside inside my RV and now I can turn on battery or AC priority mode without having to go outside and open basement compartment doors. NICE! Note: the wood frame for the remote i made and is not part of the package. Update second day of use: For those of you who say the charger quit charging well my monitor stays solid yellow even though it is charging. The manual states that the yellow light flashing means it is charging and a solid yellow means it is charged. Mine was flashing but then went to solid yellow at about 52V but it is still charging. So others that left a review stating it is no longer charging might be wrong. I am looking at my battery shunt VIA Rasberry PI with Venus OS and viewing live on monitor and also via Victron website and it is charging. Will update if things change. So far very happy. Update March 14th 2026: Everything including the charger is working perfectly. Although minor the only improvement that I would like to see is that when switching from BATTERY mode to AC mode the charger with it's yellow flashing light automatically turns on and defaults to 25amp charging. However I should not have to turn off the charger every time I go to AC mode. The automatic charging should be an option but it is not. I want my solar panels to do all the charging even if it is the next day. Still a excellent product and there are no interruptions in power to all appliances when switching from AC To Battery mode or vise versa. Final Update March 17th: Adding a video that I forgot to upload and you can hear the fan kick on etc.

Buy this inverter charger and save yourself $600
12 Volt 2000 watts This is an Amazing inverter / charger. itโs super powerful, itโs a quality made unit, itโs an unbelievable price for all the Awesomeness you get, It has all the fancy features in it that the $900 plus units have in them and itโs quiet. When you open this inverter up, to remove the remote / on off switch panel, take a look inside this thing, itโs impressive and thatโs coming from a UCLA grade electrical engineer. The remote readout does not show watts and I am a bit of a watts nerd, it does show load and you can then figure it out, but for a watts nerd, Iโm going to have to get a wattโOโmeter, Ha!!!! This inverter makes my already awesome quality electronics work even better, I know, that sounds crazy but you will see. It puts out a true 120 volts when on battery power and when plugged into AC and on AC priority it will put out the same amount of voltage that is put into it. The 2000 Watts available coming from this inverter, is supposedly only coming from and only available from the hardwired AC output port. The 3, 3 wire plug portโs that you can plug directly into the inverter itself are recommended to keep at a max of 1200 watts each, mind you, as I mentioned thereโs 3 plugs, so if you ran 1200 wants in each outlet thatโs 3600 watts which from the tech info, this inverter can handle for a short time? FYI, I have not tested that!! If you are gonna be drawing a lot of current constantly, you just use the AC hardwire output terminal and wire this unit right into your needs. Me personally, I am using only 1 of the 3 available direct AC plug in outletโs on this inverter. I did test and I do dally use my OXO hot water kettle (Again, only using 1 of the available 3 plugโs) my kettle does draw a constant 1350 watts and the inverter works it great, with no issues. Listen with skepticism to reviewers, (With that statement, I am contradicting myself? Ha!!!) yes this inverter has some quirks and those quirks are, if you donโt understand how the inverter works, or you donโt know how to use it, or you donโt understand which lights mean what, or you have not read nor do you understand the directions, then itโs gonna have some quirks. BUT, I did find a few interesting characteristic of this inverter. When you switch from AC priority to DC battery priority (and vice versa) the inverter will automatically change your battery charging currant valve. Iโm assuming it does this to conserve energy and if you are not solar changing, there is no charging currant anyway, until AC power is restored if you are running AC power. I am pretty sure the instructions did not mention that. Another one of itโs interesting features is when the display panel backlight is set to On / constant on, when first turning on the inverter, the display wonโt light up until you actually push one of its buttonโs. Long story longer!! Somebody invented this thing, designed it and built it. I am assuming that person is very smart and I am also assuming that smart person added the unique characteristics of this inverter, for only good reasons. Sheโs a bigโOlโgirl, the measurements are right there, the weight is right there, but Iโll admit it! I went from using a Kriรซger 2000 watt inverter only, to this unit and I was perplexed at the difference in size and weight for only a ATS (Automatic transfer switch) and a battery charger. So far it is working correctly, I want to lower, that it is in performance test face, because there have been a couple of alarms that have jumped on occasions of consumption of 60% of charge, which should not happen, and it restarts after the fault alarm, this is under evaluation, that's why I give it four stars and not five, I will update soon

Poor customer support and poor charging capability
This item doesn't charge correctly. I have been trying to rectify the issue with customer support but they are not willing to help. Also, there customer support is only email. They email you once in 24 to 48 hours. When you respond they email you back in 24-48 hours. They also make stuff up to justify what appears to be poor engineering in fuction. They claim it charges at 50 amps but that true for only 20% of the charger. Once the batteries charge to 30% it starts decreasing the amperage to 40 amps. Once it hits 50% it starts reducing to 30 amps. When its 70% its charging at 10 amps. At 80 % it starts at trickle charge of 2 to 4 amps. It will charge at this rate until it charges to 100%. In battery priority mode it doesn't switch over from house to battery until my solar panels charge. So I find myself with batteries at 100% and full solar charging. Not good situation. The settings for the inverter charger do not control the output charging amperage correctly. The worst part of this unit is the customer service trying to resolve the issue. They make stuff up as they go. They don't answer your questions nor do they care about their own product performance. For them if it works a little it works. I would not recommend vevor products for their lack of support. No phone service availible for support. Even after asking the customer service representative to pass my case to someone else the same person responds without assistance. I asked to speak with a manager same person responds without help. I give the product 3 starts because as an inverter it seems to work well. It is not a good inverter charger if you want to cycle your batteries as I do. I will give this rating 1 star because of the customer support along with the product issues with charging.

Completely mixed feelings.. from the start I have to flip the off and on switch multiple times to turn it on. Hooked up to "shore power" fans running to cool down something that shouldn't be working. Left me stranded on charging a few times. Was going to do a less then year old claim but reviews shows nobody gives a rats bass.

Heavy, rugged construction. Just installed. Appears to deliver good power. Instantly starts and runs my 2 HP air compressor. I use it with my solar power system to power my remote wood shop.

It works, with issues
Well it does charge a battery, and it does produce 120V AC power. Many many quirks. The charge Amps is very different than the settings, set at 30A and it charges at 38A. (the charge current is not displayed, so you wouldn't know unless you measure it) The battery Voltage reading is 0.2V higher than on the terminals, but wait there's more, Charge terminates 0.4V below what you set it at. At least it's under charging not over charging. There is a significant hum when charging, particularly at higher charge rates. The fan has a single high speed, which is pretty load, and the constant cycling on and off is annoying. If only it was a variable speed and maintained only the necessary cooling. It's nice that you can manually set the charge parameters, and the manual has settings listed for various battery chemistry, but I seriously question the LFP recommendations, with a 14.6V float. I understand LFP shouldn't be maintained at a high float Voltage. There is a pretty glossy color manual, that is hard to understated, and simply missing information. For example on page 9, "AC-REC :In the state of battery priority," that's it, then it goes to the next item in bold type, Low Voltage Parameter Settings: There is an online pdf manual, and that is laid out differently. In that version ""AC-REC :In the state of battery priority, Automatically switch to mains priority when the battery voltage Down to this value." So they didn't truncate the sentence, but I still don't understand this. And the online manual doesn't have any " Low Voltage Parameter Settings:" So overall, this scares me because I just don't know what it is doing.
