Great book! Guaranteed to make you guffaw. Liked it so much I wound up buying the postcards!

This is the funniest book I've seen in a long time--a treasure trove of dark humor. From the cover photo of a chickadee giving a prospective reader the evil eye to an inside illustration of a screech owl with blood red eyes and a grosbeak threatening, "I'll even kill your soul, the book is chock-full of sophisticated silliness. But how could it not be? According to the "About the Author" note, "M. Mockingbird has been interested in troubled birds ever since childhood, when he witnessed a Boat-tailed Grackle 'bitch-slap' a friend's father... An award received in Paris turned out--upon translation--to be a restraining order."

One of the funniest books I've read. Cutting, witty, sly humor. You'll never look at our feathered friends quite the same! Don't get it if you are overly sensitive to profanity, or if you lack a sense of humor...you'll be disappointed. DO get it for the fun-loving bird lovers (or haters) in your life. Great gift for the right person; one of my best friends laughed until she cried. Get a copy for yourself, too.

I bought this book for a Christmas present for a friend and they absolutely loved it. They insist on showing it to everyone and it has even sparked their interest in the artist and lead to them owning a few of the artist's pieces. All in all, a great gift to bird lovers or those who can appreciate a good laugh.

This was recommended by a friend. I think I have a good sense of humor, but this was banal and idiotic.

I gave this as a gift to my aunt, and my family laughed at the entries for hours. A truly unique and hilarious book.
