Circle Cutter with 6 Steel Wheels 40cm Diameter

Firstly it is important to point out that this Silberschnitt Circle Cutter is not a 40cm cutter but a 60cm cutter. So the listing here is wrong.I'm really surprised other reviewers haven't mentioned that.Anyway, this means it can cut circles with a diameter from just over 7cm to a maximum of 61cm.The arm pivots very smoothly and easily around the suction cup and the cutter knob feels secure but is very free to rotate and feels good in operation.Graduations on the arm are in inches and cm and appear to be properly engraved rather than moulded like some cheaper copies.Overall this cutter exudes quality.Cuts are easy to make. Be sure to brush cutting oil around the intended path of the cutter first.I did try one of the cheaper copies available, but the quality was nowhere near as good as this, so returned it.I hate to say it, but you really do get what you pay for here.This comes with 6 cutter blades, selectable by loosening the screw, turning the cutter wheel and retightening the screw. Spare cutter wheels (with 6 blades) are readily available for around £7 each.Yes this is expensive, but a lovely cutter. Avoid the cheap copies and get longevity and quality!

Excellent piece of kit. I have bought cheaper versions in the past but they have blunted very quickly. Guess you get what you pay for!
