FortLocks Gym Locker Lock, 4-Digit Indoor & Outdoor Combination Padlock

Used for a few weeks now and it been a great lock at the gym and no issues so far. Setup was easy as follow the instructions to get a screwdriver to unscrew the bottom panel, flip the switch, set up your combo, flip to switch again to save your new combo. I've had no issues so far for any malfunctions and its strong and holds up locking my belongings at the gym lockers.

These locks are great and they open fast. They are very durable as well.

I am very happy with my lock as it is just a peace of mind accessory for me at the gym for me to secure my bag (keys, wallet) etc. helps me find my locker easily bc it is a good size. the weight is heafty. The dials are easy to use. would buy again if i lost this, I doubt the longivity will be an issue.

This is actually a decent lock. The dial has a nice feel, not loose, and not too hard to turn, each number has a nice click to it. The lock itself feels weighty and solid, and opens and closes easily. I have not found it necessary to change the combination on it yet, but it appears to be fairly straightforward. The entire lock is probably at the largest you'd want to go for a school locker as far as fitting into the latch, but it does fit. I would probably buy this lock again if I needed just an affordable combination lock that doesn't feel cheap and hollow.

These locks are one of the best combinations locks I have ever owned. They are very easy to set your own personal combination (which is convenient for you to remember). They are a great value and work as good, if not better than any other combination lock I have ever used. They are also easy to see the numbers and the ease of use is much better than the typical round Masterlocks.

Returning it, but don't let that keep you from buying it. Because the problem I'm reporting is probably one in a million and I'm picky. The spring tension on some of the wheels isn't strong enough to hold the wheel in place and the combination can be easily bumped. But this lock follows the master lock 178 design and no they're not using ball bearings here, but it's working the same. When you attempt to pick this lock, you will be up against a huge challenge, because you're relying on an internal spring to apply a slight pressure on the combed shaft to allow Passage through the gates. Pulling the shackle only tightens the grip on the blocking bar, so it can't be picked, at least not conventionally. Only when the correct combination is dialed will the blocking bar be permitted to drop, allowing the ball bearings freedom to move. Furthermore, the fact that the shackle is short, notch locked and held deep in the body of the lock, means that the lock is much more resistant to Brute Force attacks such as twisting via a pipe wrench or pliers. The lock is resistant to shim attacks between the wheels of the dials as well, and prying the plastic cover off to have better access to the wheels, does you no good at all. Is it tough Under Fire? YES IT IS! Because the wheels are made of plastic, and burning or melting them only guarantees you'll never be able to open the lock, and underneath the plastic wheels is brass. In closing, for a cheap retro or chinese made replica, it's worth the money definitely, so five stars. It's very good and I really like the change code slide switch on the bottom, mine even come with a protective screw down cover plate to prevent accidental change of combination. It's a nice feature, but it's really not necessary because the change code switch takes some effort to snap it over to the change code position, but if you never plan to change the code once you set it, the protective cover plate is nice. Now that you've read my review, I will promptly return my lock as defective, while telling you to buy it, because you likely won't regret it. Special note, I'm hearing reports of RUST, so it MAY NOT BE GOOD FOR OUTDOOR USE!

I had been using a lock equivillant to this from the masterlock brand. Combination reprogramable weather proof... the first ML held up for about a year but when I went to change my combo it turns out that the tumblrs had warped & I could use the lock anymore. ML honored their guarantee & sent me another. The second lock didn't last a week before the humidity broke it. I purchased the same lock in person at my hardware store & same thing! Broke within days from the humidity making the lock freeze up. I then researched alternative brands & ordered this product. It took at least a month before I could notice any wear. The numbers no longer glide like butter BUT it's only a bit sticky. I waited to see if it would be a real problem & it has not been. Probably been in use now 2-3 months & it still works thru FL summer humidity.

The lock is heavy and seems to be well built. The numbers on the combination dial are large and high contrast, making them easy to see even in dim light. The lock comes in a variety of colors. I got the orange one because of its high visibility. Programming is quick and easy--just open the lock, remove the small screw and cover on the bottom to access reset button, slide the button to the program position, then dial in a new combination. Slide the reset button back, then replace the cover and screw. Note that when you close the shackle, it does not automatically lock. Instead you must move the combination dials to make the lock secure. This is true of most locks of this type, which is different than the old style "dial" combination locks.

Feels sturdy, simple to setup, and I haven't lost the combinations.. yet.

Pour le moment, le cadenas fonctionne très bien, la boucle est assez large pour être utilisé à pas mal d’endroits. Les molettes sont fluides et l’ensemble me parfait plutôt solide. Si un problème de durabilité se présente, je reviendrai mettre le commentaire à jour.
