This was a great value for the price of the doorbell. Bought because it can be wired to existing wire, I did change the transformer to make sure it was the correct amount of power. The camera itself and the app were easy to set up, and install, I liked it came with a wedge to tilt the camera to get more view of the doorway. Added the 128Gb sd card to capture video and added the Eufy Door chime unit as well. For no cloud service it works well capturing every delivery and every cat that strolls by, very happy with purchase adding one to our other home too.

I'm writing this review from the perspective of someone who, as an engineer, has far more tech knowledge than the average person. This product is half baked. Things went ok to start. I unpacked everything (there's some stuff like wires, mounting screws, etc a bit hidden), downloaded the app and inserted a microSD card. I started going through the Add Device on the app. The scan of the QR code on the device did not work well and it took far longer than it should to get it to scan (with my Pixel 9). I had to switch to my 2.4 network and then had more difficulty scanning the QR code the phone generates and the Eufy scans (It needs to be much closer than the stated 8 inches). Once past that, things were going well. Where I wanted to mount it had great WiFi and I mounted it (meawhile, I kept get 'human detected' notifications on my phone). During this setup I could see the live view and it looked great. That completed the install. And then it disconnected. No idea why. I had to Google how to unhook the device from its housing (very frustrating). I brought it back inside. Nothing. I tried to reinstall the device but the QR scan would not access the camera. I uninstalled/reinstalled the app and tried again. It got stuck on the connecting to WiFi section. I Googled how to factory reset it. Started everything from scratch again and same problem. Back in the box and back to Amazon. Congratulations Eufy, I will never buy one of your products again.

Very nice image and sound quality. Some problem with connecting to in house doorbell chime. Still working on that. Compared to eufy E340 it is sufficient video capture. E340's Downward facing camera is overkill. Very good motion detection/capture. Night vision is good.

This was recommended to me by a coworker and I’m so glad I made the change from ring. The clarity is by far the best and the ability to pan the view makes it a great choice by far. Easy set up too

The eufy Video Doorbell was surprisingly easy to install. I had it up and running in under 15 minutes, and the 2K image quality is sharp both day and night. Two-way audio works well, and I like that there’s no monthly fee for local storage. The app is user-friendly and gives quick access to live view and past recordings. On the downside, motion detection can be a bit too sensitive – I got alerts for every passing car and stray cat until I adjusted the zones and sensitivity. Also, the chime volume could be louder for larger homes. Overall, it’s a solid, budget-friendly alternative to subscription-based doorbells, especially if you value privacy and no hidden fees.

The doorbell camera seems to work. (I have mine wired to the old doorbell circuit.) When you press the button, the chimes sound off, I get a notification on my phone, and I can converse with whomever is at the door. However, without inserting an SSD card for memory, it does not seem to do anything else: No warnings when anyone just walks by. This would be fine, except (1) the micro SSD card I bought and installed to save videos would not format (I haven't tried other brands), and (2) although the app advertises the option of cloud storage for a fee, I was told AFTER INSTALLING the device AND SETTING UP MY MONTHLY PAYMENT that my device cannot be used with cloud storage. In other words, my review would be 4⭐️ if it weren't for the deceptive app.

We love this camera. Good quality, easy to connect. Our first one lasted 3 years before we had to replace it and we replaced it with the same one.
