Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus Portable Power Station, 3,840Wh, 3,200W Solar Input

I purchased this as part of a home emergency backup. I found out that it can take a ton of solar, too and fast charge with a 240 v generator. I have it hooked into my home through a generator port and with a soft start on my AC, 2750 of solar and a generator I can go forever. I bought the extension battery with it, now I want more. I have actually had fun with it. It is very high quality and easy to use and you can expand it as your needs (and budget) expand. It puts out 6000 watts and can surge a bit higher. It does cap out at 25 amps so it will run just about anything.

I have a 30A generator input into my home panel so have a manual switchover process. It's been fine for the few times we lose power. I have an inverter generator that handles emergency load (fridge, freezer, gas furnace blower, computer gear) but firing it up does take some time. I wanted to have a quick source of power that could drive things for a few hours but still allow recharging via generator for long outages (our last was five days a bit over a year ago). I did not feel the need to buy additional batteries with this setup, though it's nice to have that option. Tested out this set by running through my switchover procedure, using SOLIX instead of inverter. Worked like a champ, power quality is of course clean (that's why I replaced my old generator with an inverter- the power was so dirty the GFCI circuits kept tripping). Turned on a "typical" number of devices that I'd expect to support during an outage and the Solix projected over four hours of run time. I then connected my inverter generator to the SOLIX 240V input and started it up. Display showed about 2400W input (inverter can output double that) and a short recharge time (made sense since SOLIX was nearly fully charged). Inverter stayed in low idle with that light load which is another plus (quiet)! I know these input/output values can be tweaked using the app. I have a surge suppressor/circuit tester that I normally left inline between the inverter and the house and did hook it up to the SOLIX. It confirmed something useful. Normally the 240V outlet is floating neutral, and indeed before I connected the SOlIX to the house, the tester showed an open ground. Putting it in EV mode resulted in a "good ground" (bit misleading, but indicative of a change in status) showing which confirms what I've read- EV mode is bonded neutral. When I took it out of EV mode and hooked it up to my house, the ground then showed good due to the input outlet being properly grounded. So long story short, I don't have any concerns with ground on this device. The build quality is impressive, not only the SOLIX but the input adapter. I expected basically a cord and thought the price seemed high, but this thing has an impressive box in the middle working the magic. That DOES mean that if it fails then it may be costly, but it seems substantial so I'm not worried.

The cost is perfect it takes care of my two refrigerator and lights. Highly recommended!!!

Getting conflicting statements. Chat GP states "push vs pull" electrical physics ...volts are pushed and amp are pulled. The internal MPPT of ur anker 3800 plus will only draw 17amps But Jessica the anker ai witch is trying to sell me grossly OVERPRICED 400 watt ankers. WTH!!! Can u please make what is already hard even harder for ur new customer?? I heard anker had some of the best CS and tech s. ...a week after my purchase there are NO MORE cs PEOPLE. ...can someone PLEASE message me and send me a number

It's an excellent product. The first one they sent was damaged. I think it was done during shipping. Anker sent me another with no issues. Unfortunately, it was scratched up a little on the top left hand corner. The damage wasn't enough to send the unit back. The packaging is the problem - inadequate considering the weight. The F3800 Plus really has to be man handled.

Regarding it's weight to power ratio, I was expecting more power per charge. The first time I used it, I had to reset the system because it was having technical issues with the 120v outlets. Fixed and can run small appliances, horticultural lighting and fans,/blower. I have issues pulling more than 400w from my led light unit. It can run appliance's that use more than 400w continuously without issue like a/c, dehumidifier and air movers. Winter is not the Great time of year for solar, so I will need to wait till summer to put it to the test. The 400w panel does well, quite efficient. I bought an extension cable for it to reach its destination, in my front yard. The panel is DIFFICULT to setup. I highly suggest 2 people to set it up. It's weight and lack of rigidness. Flexible yet durable. I like being able to see how much power is being used, realtime. It helps me know exactly how much electricity my appliances use. Super quiet fan, I didn't know it had one until I had my ear next to the side panel where the fan is installed. Overall quality is 100%.although I saved 60% off original price, I would not suggest purchasing this unit at its regular price. You will never recover your investment at $8000. I paid $3600 and get a big credit toward my 2026 taxes.!

Powerful and plenty of features.

The units work well. There a bit quirky, outlets shut off depends how you charge. That makes no sense to me. Ive got the generator adapter with all sorts of power, yet plugs are disabled unless i buy an adapter. It would make sense to configure the plugs way you want. I believe my unit is miswired slightly… All my 120v outlets have voltage present while running off the battery 25A plug has 120v Definitely need to test more. Ive been sourcing all sorts of adapters to see if i can make it work for my setup. Id say theres potential. Will probably purchase the home power panel kit.
