How do I use nicotine gum correctly?

Chew once or twice until you taste the flavor, then park it between your cheek and gum. Nicotine is absorbed through the lining of your gum, not your saliva. When the flavor fades, chew again and re-park. Repeat for up to 30 minutes.

How many pieces should I use per day?

In the first six weeks, use one piece every 1 to 2 hours, up to 24 pieces a day. Reduce frequency gradually through the 90 day program, and follow the directions on the pack.

Can I eat or drink while using nicotine gum?

Avoid eating or drinking for 15 minutes before using the gum. Coffee, soda, and acidic drinks reduce nicotine absorption and make the gum less effective.

Can I use gum while also using a patch?

Yes, this is combination therapy. The patch provides steady all-day baseline support. Use the gum when a craving breaks through. Use 2mg gum with a Step 2 patch (14mg), or 4mg gum with a Step 1 patch (21mg).

What is the Quitine Circle?

The Quitine Circle is our support community for people quitting smoking or vaping. Your Quitine purchase gets you access to it. Inside you'll find our 90-Day Quit Program, tools for managing cravings and triggers, and others doing the same thing.
