I didnt need a ton of Pink curing salt and this was an ecomonical option. I love the fact im not buying from a giant company. The quality is great and everything is cured as described. It has a lighter pink color than some of the other brands i have tried but has the same saltiness. Because I can buy smaller amounts im giving this 5 starts. Havent had it for two long but expect it to last forever. .. or until i run out

I used to make beef jerky in my convection oven, then I bought a smoker. Even with the obvious benefits of making jerky in the smoker, there was still something missing. Prague powder number one is the secret ingredient that I was missing. Including this Prague powder number one in my marinade guaranteed a great texture and after months, maybe more than a year of testing, in that time I have found for maybe a week or two, the jerky continues to develop it's end result while sealed in a plastic bag. I never saw this post smoking improvement in previous batches before I started using this special salt. After my last batch finally achieved all the goals for which I have been aiming, I sent some to my brother along with a sample of my homemade chipotle seasoning and the resulting jerky that I have made with this salt blend. I can't wait to find out what he does with this stuff because I think it would be cool to go into business selling beef jerky. A little goes a long way and it raised my jerky to professional level.

Ordered pink curing salt. Received… beige curing salt? Maybe even off‑white if I squint. Not exactly the rosy hue I was expecting, but hey — it’s curing salt, not a fashion accessory. It did its job perfectly, and the amount was exactly what the listing said. I can’t fault them for me not reading the size and expecting a bucket when it clearly said “small pouch.” That one’s on me. The color, though? That’s the mystery. Did something happen in transit? Did the pink fade? Was it ever pink? Would I even know the difference if it wasn’t? Absolutely not. Still: it’s salt, it cures things, and it didn’t ruin anything. 4 stars for functionality, minus one for the beige identity crisis.

Got this because I found beef tounge at the grocery. The ai said i need to brine it. I always wondered why the meat I get from the deli had a flavor element I could never recreate. I found out because the meat is cured. I may never have to go to the deli and pay $20 for a sandwhich again. Cant wait to eat my tonuge in a few days.
