Get this saw...you will be glad you did!
This pole saw was needed to trim two large mesquite trees at our home just north of Tucson, AZ. Mesquite is incredibly beautiful, but very hard. The saw did a fantastic job. It was not difficult to use and we received helpful tips from the seller. We highly recommend this pole saw. It is well worth the cost, also. Arborists and landscaping firms are expensive and we have already paid for the saw after using it for Just a short time. It will definitely see more use shortly and we are thrilled to do the work ourselves.

Not a good choice.
Fully extended, or even partially extended, the pole is way to flimsy to do any real cutting. You have to wait several seconds between pulls on the saw for the thing to stop flopping around before you can make another pull- otherwise the saw will not stay in the same spot- it just bounces around on the branch. As a result, it takes a long time just to cut a single branch. The fiberglass parts of the pole are so thin, one of them snapped on me on my second branch. Needless to say, it didn't last long.

Do not bend or put too much downward pressure on pole. Let saw blade do cutting!!
GREAT POLE AND SAW. Saw blade is great because it cuts on push and pull stroke!!! Less energy use.

Very difficult to use
I want to trim small branches from a tree but when extended the pole was very awkward. Very disappointed

Have saved a bundle by not hiring a tree trimmer
I've owned my pole saw for about 15 years. I've gotten a ton of mileage out of my saw. Great for cutting palm fronds and much more. It takes some muscle to raise the fully extended saw up. And yes, like some of the other reviewers say, it takes some persistence because it is wobbly when fully extended. If you have a really thick perhaps 1-foot diameter branch to cut at 27 feet high, that might be pushing the boundaries. Also, after about 10 years of use, the locking mechanism that holds squeezes the first two aluminum pole extensions failed. I had to permanently join them together (fully extended) with duct tape. But aside from that, I'm still getting mileage out of this saw and continue to save $$ by not having to hire a tree trimmer.

Good pole saw, good working and light

flimsy
the photo of a man using pole saw is very misleading. After attaching the yellow pole which contains additional pole inside to green pole, same diameter, the pole starts to bend upon further extension of the yellow pole the entire pole becomes wobbly and sway, definitely not straight to do any manipulation. very disappointed. The two poles inside the yellow pole are aluminum and has much smaller diameter which cannot support the saw attachment.
