It's a two part purchase. I purchased the headset and jack adapter specific to Cisco IP phones. As far as noise reduction is concerned, it meets my needs very well. It still allows for some minimal sound to come through, which I prefer so that I am aware of what is going on around me, but nearly eliminates all background noise for a clear and comfortable conversation. Also, the party at the other end can hear me clearly without background noise interfering. The headset is very confortable for long conversations.
