Do you need to use adhesive tape along with this product or can it just be applied into skin and then the toupee wig on top?

Great question, adhesive tape is not required for the use of the product. You should apply it to clean skin, allow to dry until tacky and then apply unit to skin with small tip or end for a cleaner application. Remove with Walker C-22 or 99% Isopropyl Alcohol.

How does the glue do when sweating? I sweat a good bit!

In terms of holding power through out immense sweating, it works very well, provided it is administered well.
