Great rain tarp - works as a sunshade too!
This rain tarp works great! I actually used it more as a sunshade since it doesn't rain too much in California.I chose this tarp particularly bc I was looking for a tarp that wasn't too pricy. I was also pleased with these stakes as they were dull enough to not threaten the rain tarp, but sharp enough to shove into the dirt.this purchase completed my hammock setup which I've been accumulating over the years so I'm pretty happy that I've got what I need for all outdoor conditions :))

Convenient
Pretty neat. I took this down to southern Utah and it was great. Easily covers my double hammock and the quick pull tensioners are really nice. No clue on durability yet because I haven't gotten to take it out much but no quality issues I could see.

Great rain fly, cheap carabiners
Great rain fly/shelter. Really easy set up. My only problem is that one of the ridgeline carabiners broke on my second use. I was able to rig something up but it was disappointing.

Great Rain Fly
The rain fly works as expected and appears well made. It seems a little heavy but most of them are. I have doubt that I'll be using this for years with my Kammock Roo Double.

it's great. Material seems like it will really hold up ...
Took me a minute to figure out how to set it up, but once I did, it's great. Material seems like it will really hold up in the rain.

Better than ENO
Serac has the quality material of an ENO but without the price of a popular brand. Plus the customer service is great.

Decent Tarp, Robust, but several shortcomings
Pros --Material is very robust-Initial setup is really easy, and line adjusters are simple-Price isn't too bad - Serac does sales on holidays if you sign up for their emails, I paid $35-Weight isn't bad for the material you get. Heavier than nicer expensive tarps though.-Stakes are a bright color and easy to spot.Cons --Carabiners are cheap. Need to be replaced. This seems like such a stupid thing to cheap out on.-Customer service never responded after my carabiner broke on the first use. Also ordered the bugnet and it was missing carabiners. Replaced them with some I had around, but that's frustrating.-Tarp isn't wide enough to cover you in heavy rain. Had some trouble putting it up high enough that it would clear my hammock suspension because the guy lines aren't long enough to reach the ground without narrowing the tarp so much that it makes a diagonal lay almost touching the tarp. Ended up having to move the hammock so it was only a few inches from the ground.-Tree Lines could also be a little longer. Can't go around wider trees that are far apart. I end up having to extend it with additional line on occasion.-Stakes aren't that robust. Bent on first use in moderate soil. Wasn't really planning on using these anyway.-Doesn't come with any loops tied in the bottom of the guy lines, not really a real issue since I'm decent at knots, but you certainly can't "Set everything up without tying a single knot"Would return it if I'd gotten to try it in the rain in the first 30 days. Didn't rain on me while I was using it until later (good and bad I guess).
