This PC is good. The hybrid HDD is not as fast as an SSD, but ok trade off of capacity and speed. Tech support was a little disappointing when I had issue with the DVD drive. Took over an 1 hour to decide it was a faulty drive.

The Optane memory module makes the HDD perform as fast as an SSD. The set up was easy and the unit was economical and has current hardware. Adding hardware is a bit tricky as there is only one extra power pluginside and the online manual could be a bit more detailed.

I had to buy a GT1030 video card to play my old games like bioshock - everything is great as a home PC except the video card will not play anything including amazon product videos

Works well & is fast for every day computing.I have used it for about a month now and its working fine.That is more than i can say for the Acer Aspire TC-885 i retured after just 1 week of failures.A good buy & dependable computer HP delivered.

This device worked for me for a period of 10 months and all of a sudden windows will not start.Contacted the manufacturer they told me that the device is registered under another person's name and that they couldn't help. The Seller is an absolute joke,they will answer your email with two words,"Contact Manufacturer ".Look carefully on the receipt you can only return the item within 15 days of purchase.there's no warranty. Amazon did not stand by there A to Z guarantee.the agents will assure you of a refund or replacement but don't fall for it.After months of being tossed back and forth I decided to ask for a supervisor who plainly told me "sorry we are not going to do anything,you did not pay us,you paid the seller,"when I asked about the A to Z coverage the guy told me their system does not make exceptions for anyone. Keep in mind Amazon stalled me all this time.

Updated. Increased rating from 1 star to 3. Shipped with the 1TB hard drive petitioned into a logical drive with just the OS and about 75GB blank space. The remaining space on the 1 TB drive was in another petition that was not mounted and so was invisible to Windows. I gave it a 1 star rating because i thought i was ripped off with an inaccurate product description. I discovered this later in disk mgmt, assigned a drive letter and mounted the logical drive with the remainder of the disk space. Now I am increasing the rating to 3 star because it is not a ripoff. The computer is OK but the wireless keyboard and mouse performed so badly that i put them in the attic. The refurb job is shoddy and incomplete so you should not get this unless you are technically adept with PCs.

I bought two of these, one each for my wife and myself. Initially I thought my wife had gotten a better unit as hers seemed to operate much faster than did mine. This was particularly true when surfing the internet. As the installed software were similar and the browser identical I was a bit envious of her PC. After less than two months of use following a five month period where it sat in its box waiting for us to move it to Denver, her PC "died". We were unable yo get it to boot up in any mode. We went through all the suggested routes and procedures to no avail. Rather than deal with HP or Microsoft we took her PC to Best Buy to have the Geek Squad fix it. That was a serious error. They ruined her PC by "rearranging" or deleting all her files to the point where it was useless. The person who worked on it "improved where all the files were kept" because the "C" drive was overcrowded he told her. What a bunch of BS. There is only one drive and it is "C". And she was at less than 15% of capacity. But I digress as this is not a review of The Geek Squad (awful), After I returned it to Best Buy and told the manager what I thought of what they had done they reworked her PC and got it at least operational. They blame HP or Microsoft for the problem which they attribute to "perhaps an update auto-installed incorrectly". Regardless this HP PC is nowhere near the performance I had come to expect from HP based on my previous purchases.
