Adam and Illy Alto Chest Of Drawers, Sherwood Oak/Moonstone

The corners of the top and bottom pieces of this dresser were damaged in shipping, and I didn't want to deal with the hassle of sending it back, so I put it together using the damaged pieces. This furniture is made of soft, cheap particle board, which based on the price, is not that surprising. I just didn't expect it to be so easily damaged. The manufacturer should do a better job when packing these pieces.Assembly was a bit difficult, and I'm normally someone who can put together any IKEA furniture by myself with minimal issues. Yes, I did do this by myself, and the recommendation is for two people to tackle this job, but again, I thought I could handle it since I'm used to doing these things on my own. Instructions were difficult to follow at times or just completely missing. You'll probably want to use a power drill so you don't wear your hands out trying to drive screws into wood where the holes were not pre-drilled deep enough or where there weren't any pre-drilled holes at all! I had to use the drill several times.I still give this piece three stars because it does look cool, even with the damaged / dented corners on the top and bottom.

It was fairly easy to put together, but arrived in one HEAVY box. Must have at least 2 people to handle it. I haven't been able to get all of the drawers to slide in properly, but I like the way it looks and it's so heavy, I wouldn't want to go through the hassle to arrange a return. Drawers are also not that deep, so this would work for someone that doesn't plan on storing a ton of clothes.

The item came with damaged corners of the top and bottom.I am not sure it was damaged during the shipping or it was packed like that.The top and the bottom pieces are poorly made and break easily.Would not recommend this item even though it looks nice on the picture.
