The packaging, first of all? It's absolute perfection. WOW was it beautifully protected! Secondly? When I ordered, Amazon couldn't give an arrival date, so I figured it'd be tied up in shipping for a while - maybe due to tariffs or something? Well, it beat all the other items in my order to my front door! How's THAT for service? This is just such a unique little item. Truly lovely, well made, the little creature "comes to life" perfectly, and I'm thinking now of so many people I can gift one to for Christmas or a birthday. It's just THAT special! There is no "downside" to it, except that the cup itself isn't very large...certainly not big enough for anything I drink...so it's not exactly practical, but sometimes you just need something to inspire you, or remind you that the world can be a very beautiful place. I might have to start collecting them! I have the perfect place to display them!

I bought the plain butterfly and running horse designs. Very nice tea cups. They appear to be made of high quality white porcelain with a glossy clear glaze. Their kaleidoscopic Zoetrope design is good, works best with a single overhead light, not quite so great in a bright all-around sunny room. Cups are tiny if you expect a mug to satisfy gargantuan American appetites, but are sized right for formal dinnerware. Though these are novelty cups for friends, not 20-person gold-plated brass delegates in formal silverware events. Note cups are obviously not microwave safe with their (semi?)metallic markings despite their Product Description checking “Yes, Microwave Safe”. I confirmed with the vendor: ”putting it in the microwave oven will make the surface color fall off or change color more easily, so it is not recommended to put it in the microwave oven.” So, good with hot water kettles. And I doubt they are so dishwasher safe either. It might be fun tho to build a dishwasher inside a microwave oven, and then try the cups safety ratings. I would stand back, waaay back during such testing. Does DELIGHTFUL mean the lights go out? BTW, this is a novelty review for these novelty cups, I am not [….], just kidding.

Stunning! It is just as beautiful as the videos in the ad. The quality is outstanding. I love how deep the saucer is and the way the cup nestles in it.
