Shark Rotator Lift-Away Vacuum, DuoClean PowerFins, Dark Grey, LA555

I Absolutely love this vacuum cleaner! It’s the best one I have ever found, and it has two power setting modes which are both very powerful, plus the max mode will even pick up dust and small rocks that we tend to bring in from time to time because we livein the mountains and of course it picks up pet hair with no problem whatsoever! ! The entire Design of the vacuum cleaner is brilliant because the width of the vacuum roller isn’t overly large and the canister that collects everything is raised up higher so when your vacuuming you’re able to vacuum further underneath couches and furniture because it’s not hitting the canister. And there is no effort in having to push this vacuum either, it just goes on its own and can turn corners easily too! Plus, I love that you can put the extension hose on and take the canister off of the rollers to get to high areas. This vacuum is well worth the money!

I love this vacuum. I love Shark products period. It gets under and behind everything with ease and the lift away helps get corners and cracks along baseboards all cobwebs so easily. Lightweight and so easy to use. The power of suction is incredible. I had just vacuumed all my floors with my old vacuum and when my new shark arrived I just had to use it. I got a completely full canister of dirt and dog hair my old bissell missed. The cord is nice and long, i it dusts off all of my heat registers , does wall and curtains, window sills with ease, and I used to work doing housekeeping my employer had shark vacuums for in home professional cleaning. They are great for high pile carpet or low. Super dependable ANX never had a complaint on their home cleaning. I had it all put together in 3 minutes. I also bought the Shark shampooer. Super shocked at the cleanliness of my carpets. Especially with 4 dogs. The shampooer literally sucks the rug up off the floor. Dries in an hour. Highly recommend shark products.

Love this vacuum it has alot of suction, and the small roller works really well on my couch. I love how hair and what not don't get all rolled up in the brush. The only thing I was a little upset about is 2 weeks later Im wondering around a store and see they were selling it for $100 less then what paid.

First let me say this vacuum was recently on sale here for $200 ($90 off) when I picked it up so that was a great deal. This was the deciding factor in making this purchase. If you're not in a rush then I suggest watching the price history and wait for a good sale like this. Pros: 1. For the money this is a solid, basic vacuum cleaner that does a great job. It doesn't have any fancy electronic sensor technology, but for me that is just something else to go wrong (certain things don't need to be all tech-y and complex). Yes, it's all-plastic but that does keep the weight down and since it's not used daily then it should still provide enough longevity to satisfy me. It is powerful enough to give you pause – enough so that this is the first vacuum I've purchased in several decades that I felt the adjustable suction setting was actually necessary. 2. It is easy to assemble and to empty, and it is much easier to clean out all the nooks and crannies and bins and hoses and air passages than my former Dyson DC40 ever was. The front roller brush pops out with one button and long hair doesn't wrap around the main brush bar. That alleviated the biggest cleaning hassle with all of my former vacuums. There is also a clever trap door on the bottom that lets you clear out anything blocking the hose inside the head. 3. And boy howdy does it pick up dog hair! We have area rugs all over the house and frankly the dual-brush system literally scrapes rogue husky fur off the rugs that all of my older vacuums could never begin to touch. Having now used a dual-brush vacuum I sincerely doubt I could ever go back to a single roller unit. Cons: 1. The basic design still relies very heavily on washable/replaceable filters. It is not very efficient at separating the dirt from the airflow, so there will always be the added steps of cleaning out and washing the filters every month or so. Dyson still reigns supreme in this one area and has never been seriously challenged, managing to more thoroughly pull the dirt from the air-stream before it passes through any filters than every other bagless vacuum I've used. This issue, however, is very much offset by how well the Shark picks up pet hair (so much better than the Dyson) as I mentioned above. 2. The brush bar width is regrettably narrow at just over 9 inches and unfortunately this model isn't the “powered lift-away” that lets you easily clean under tables and chairs. The unit has to be completely assembled in “upright mode” for it to function. Apparently this was done to save money and this missing feature makes it more difficult to clean the floor around and under our dining room table and chairs. It is a mild to moderate aggravation but not a deal-breaker considering the price. 3. And speaking of being cheap, not including the removable brush for the upholstery attachment was just chintzy. Overall I can give the Shark Rotator Lift-Away DuoClean LA555 a solid recommendation – especially if you can find it on sale!

I just ordered this vacuum after watching pricing for months. Finally found a great price for it and snatched it up. It's INCREDIBLE. It came in pieces, but was easy to put together. It's lightweight, even in lift-away mode. I have 2 shedding dogs (aussie shephard and a shedding doodle mix) and my own long hair that sheds and this thing sucked everything out the carpet! The suction on it is amazing! The fin brush basically propels itself on carpet! :) It kicked up so much out of the carpet that my old vacuum was missing - it was disgusting! Doing the carpeted stairs was a BREEZE! I love this thing! It feels pretty sturdy (all the locking mechanisms seem sturdy). So far, seems pretty durable. I'm hoping that it lasts me a lifetime because I will be sad if it breaks anytime soon. I'm excited to vacuum now! :)

I love my Shark Vacuums! My first one was about 10yrs old, and I put it in the garage when I decided to upgrade. Both worked so perfectly. Unfortunately, our garage caught fire, and everything was a loss. In replacing items from the fire, I went searching for a replacement for the one I used in the garage. I found this vacuum and it was a very good price and so many new features. When I received the vacuum, I should have known there were possible issues with it. I first noticed how it was packed, not in original box at all. Then as I was putting it together (which was very easy), I noticed some dust on the filter, apparently had been used. I did not know I was getting a refurbished vacuum! There was no mention of that in the description. But I went ahead and proceeded to use it, and it did seem to be a very good vacuum, great suction and was easy to use and the cord length was longer which was great. Then as I used it the Odor Neutralizing Tech, there was no scent at all, very disappointed. Then I noticed how difficult it was to swivel the vacuum head and it makes some awful popping noises when doing this, sometimes the head will tilt off the floor when turning around furniture. The lights on the front are not as bright as my previous Sharks. The Accessories will not stay on the vacuum either, usually end up just taking them off while vacuuming. So mixed feelings about this vacuum. As far a cleaning and the suction it is an awesome vacuum, on the other hand it has some issues. Seems I need to order some new Odor Neutralizing Cartridges and see if they actually work.
