The one I bought was from Italy, then purchased the one you are asking about from Amazon, I believe that is the new package/ design the same great Olive Oil, hope that helps

Can't really tell. I quit buying this because of that AND the fact that it just doesn't taste like what my friend brought me directly from Italy.
