Q: Can someone please tell me how to put this together please are the nuts suppose to be on top or underneath i cant see what they do it seems a bit flim

I had problems assembling this too and it took me a while but i eventually got it. You need to lay both sections on the ground and pair up the sides to push /fit them into place,remove the screws and then tighten the screws when the sections are joined up to keep the base ssecurely in place ; there are "clip /slide in sections" at each side of the base with a scew . Put your feeding station pole into the hollow post section and tighten the nut to hold it in place . Sorry if i haven't explained it very well but hope you manage to assemble it .

The base is heavy enough but not strong enough. The connection to the upright is totally inadequate and breaks easily. I suggest you do not buy.
