Waka Decaf Instant Black Tea Powder, Unsweetened, 4.5 oz

I love this almost as much as their Blueberry Black Tea. It avoids that chemical-taste that you get from most Decaffeinated Black Teas by using a natural process for decaffeination instead of the more-common chemical process so many companies use these days, and it maintains most of the natural flavor of a good cup of Black Tea, while making it mixable and dissolvable, even in cold water. The quantity is the same as their other options, with 200 servings per pouch, for English-type users having a tiny cup and with 50 servings for those of us who make a quart and carry it around for a few hours each day. The ingredient list is limited and allergic-individual friendly, with no added or unnecessary ingredients, and the finely-ground powder dissolves very easily in cold water, with just a stir or a shake, which makes it perfect for on-the-go usage. Overall, I LOVE this product, and I've recommended it to many other people, several of whom have become dedicated users and the rest of whom can't give up coffee, even though Decaf Coffee usually tastes terrible. Everyone who tried this really liked it, and that's saying something, in our family. We all give this five-stars for quality and taste and safety.

Drink this every day. I double the recommended ratio but still have plenty of product.

Good value for the money. Tea tastes good but takes more than the suggested amount for an average size cup/glass of tea (thought the flavor would be stronger). Color and quality is good. Easy to use but because it's a powder it can be messy. Fantastic that it's decaffeinated! This product doesn't have lemon - which is good because you have a choice to add lemon or not. Arrived well packaged and on time. Will purchase more and probably additional products from this seller. I trust this product and seller.

I thought this was my answer to locating another source of instant decaffeinated tea since I could not find Lipton instant unsweetened decaffeinated tea anywhere. I still have a partial bottle of the Lipton instant decaffeinated tea. Unfortunately, Waka's tea powder just doesn't seem to have any flavor to it. I so wanted to like this product, but I feel I wasted my money. It colors the water, but doesn't impart any flavor, in my opinion. I hope I can find the Lipton I like somewhere.

The flavor of this tea is nothing special. Pretty much what one would expect of a dried black tea powder. My biggest complaints are the false advertising on the amount of cups this will make. When mixed exactly as instructed the resulting tea is so weak that, compared cup to cup with water, you essentially can't taste (or smell) the difference. You need to at least double the number of scoops you use, or even triple. This means that the "50 cups" they advertise is completely false. Try more like 20ish cups (if even that). The other thing I dislike is that the tea is a very fine powder. No surprise there... But this means that it balls up really bad when added to a cup of water. You can get around this issue by first adding just a slight bit of water to the bottom of your cup, add the tea powder next to make a paste, and then add the remaining water. It is just an annoying extra step. Overall I am "meh" regarding this tea. If it wasn't for the STEEP price (remembering that you get half or less than the cups advertised), then I would probably like it. I certainly won't buy it again at the current price point, not unless it is made way stronger.

After reading all the reviews, I had high expectations. It's ok, the decaffeinated tea mix doesn't taste like tea, very mild. Too bad, got to finish it anyway.

No caffeine to keep me awake at night. No added sugar means I can use my own form of sweetener. Don't let the size fool you, it takes next to nothing to make a whole gallon! A great value for the money. I like this so much I put it on subscription.
