Really suprised at quality and longevity
I'm a budget minded rider always looking for a good value. I'm 6'1", 230. I MTB ride about 75-100 miles per week. I am also a MTB coach for local HS team with two young racers at home. I descend fast. Brake hard and not real gentle on the bike. Pads have lasted a whole year under fairly abusive riding. They don't smell or smoke after long descending trails and dont seem to loose stopping power. After just checking pads for the year, I still have a fair amount of pad left! The pads dont crumble on the edges like some of the cheap pads I tried. I did have to run the pads over some sand paper initially to stop them from rubbing, but that is not really a complaint more of a suggestion to anyone buying these. I just bought my second set for both front and rear Sram G2 brakes. If the material remains the same, no need to pay $30 for a set of Sram, these work great and I will continue to buy. At $10 is a great value and surprisingly quality product.

If you're looking for good pads without the noise, these are it.
Finally some peace and quiet. My Santa Cruz Hightower came stock with some sintered brake pads. I broke or bedded them in properly and I made sure the front and back were broke in equally. The front worked out well but unfortunately the back didn't. When you don't bed your pads in properly, they become very noisy and it's not always an easy fix. On the 2nd day of riding my rear pads were howling like a werewolf on a full moon. It was pissing me off and driving me crazy. I've read some articles and watched several videos to get rid of the problem and I followed them to the T, but it didn't fix the noise problem. After some research, it turns out that Semi-Metalic pads were the most quiet, so I decided to buy these. I installed them the very second I got them from the mailbox. These pads are very quiet, it has good initial bite and it has performed very well on the trail. As far as longevity, I haven't had them long enough to know, but so far so very good, and most importantly, they run quiet and they perform. Highly recommend.

So far I have used them a dozen or so times and I am very happy with them
I was bit nervous when I read the one review that gave these less than 5 stars but I figured I would give them a shot since the price point is what I was looking for. So far I have used them a dozen or so times and I am very happy with them. They have plenty of bite and are nice and quiet even after being on them hard for a good amount of time on some very steep terrain. They have a nice gradual grab that I did not notice on the Sram pads that came with my bike. It is like having ABS on a bike. This has been especially helpful when riding really steep stuff since the wheels don't lock up as easily. I don't have any technical data to support my theory but I assume that means my tires and the trail will last longer. I will totally be getting these again.

Great pad, great value
these pads work as well as the OEM pad and they are a lot cheaper. Reliable powerful stopping with reasonable life. They don't last as long as my xt brake pads but I think that is cause they have a much smaller surface area (and are lighter weight because they are smaller). Use them for all mountain riding.

Great brake pads!
I tried different brake pads, and some failed...typically got burned after a large descending trail.... This brake pads are great.... they do not burned and keep braking all the time when needed. I typically use them for enduro riding...

Amazing value, comparable to stock
Purchased one test set for my 2018 Guide R brakes on the rear of my Trek Stache. OEM pads were worn, these were an easy drop in replacement. Zero noise, and comparable if not better stopping power. We'll see how durable they are, but even if they last half as long it's a great deal!I have lower level Guides on my Farley that squeal like a stuck pig, I'm going to throw $20 at it with these pads and see what happens.
