These are not made from rooster's combs but from bacterial fermentation. Some HA is made from rooster combs, which contain high amounts of it, but this product is not.

Pure Encapsulations has a rigorous testing policy. Each raw material is tested for identity, potency, a complete panel of solvent residues (~32 compounds), heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic and cadmium) and microbial contaminants. All plant-derived compounds/herbal extracts are also tested for a complete panel of pesticide residues (~70 compounds). This testing is done through high-quality, third-party independent laboratories, such as Eurofins and Covance, that are considered the gold standard in the industry. Pure Encapsulations is NSF-certified. NSF is an outside organization that inspects products and the manufacturing facility for compliance with the FDA GMPs. Pure Encapsulations’ products, as well as their manufacturing and testing procedures, are thoroughly inspected twice annually by the NSF to ensure compliance with the FDA GMP's.

Pure Encapsulations uses HyaMax Hyaluronic Acid that is sourced from microbial fermentation. The raw material fermentation process is proprietary. Pure Encapsulations receives confirmation that it is free from soy, wheat, gluten, dairy, corn, fish, shellfish, coconut, tree nuts, and peanuts. In addition, it is free from mushrooms.
