Excellent piece of kit.
Well made and simple to setup. These wifi controlled water valves are great. Very easy to setup with the free homgar app. This app let's you configure start/ stop sequences very easily. You can set a rain delay of one or more days. The app monitors the weather app on your phone and will automatically pause the programmed watering schedule if rain is forecast. Comes with a plug in gateway which connects easily to your WiFi and helps boost range. One gateway can control more than one of these devices. If you opt for a 2 output model you have to link it to the tuya or smart home app NOT the homgar one, bit strange but works just the same. Easily integrates with the Alexa framework, just install the homgar skill and the device automatically links through homgar into alexa. The 2 output model links easily you just need the smart home skill installed via your alexa app. Comes with ptfe tape so you can install inputs & outputs with no weeping. Loved the first one so much I went on and bought two more 4 way and a pair of 2 way valve blocks.

Decent gardening gadget!
I recently installed the Diivoo WiFi Water Timer 4 Outlets to automate watering my garden, and overall, it’s been a solid addition. Setting it up was fairly easy—download the Homegar app, pair the hub and timer (which uses 4 AA batteries), and connect to WiFi. The process took about 15 minutes, though I found the app’s instructions a bit generic, as others have noted. Once set up, I linked it to Alexa, renaming the zones for simpler voice commands like “Zone 1 on,” which is a handy feature when I’m busy. The timer works reliably, activating sprinklers on schedule for my lawn and flower beds. The four outlets let me cover different garden areas, and the app’s scheduling is intuitive, allowing precise control over watering times. I’ve tested it with oscillating sprinklers, and the water pressure is decent, though I removed the filter to improve flow, as one user suggested. The app could be better—zone names aren’t prominent, and an overview of active outlets would help avoid overlaps, a minor issue also mentioned by others. My main gripe is the app ecosystem. Like another user, I found compatibility quirks; the Homegar app works for this timer, but some Diivoo devices require a different app, which is frustrating if you expand your system. Durability is a concern too—one reviewer had a unit fail quickly, though my replacement worked fine after an initial faulty unit. The batteries seem to last well, and the build feels sturdy for outdoor use.In summary, this timer is a time-saver for garden watering, especially with its WiFi and voice control features. It’s great for scheduling and remote operation, but the app needs refinement, and I’m hoping it proves durable. I’d recommend it for tech-savvy gardeners, but be prepared for minor setup hiccups.

Only lasted a summer
Bought in May 2025 and worked well, brought inside for the winter as recomended to avoid the frost. Taken it out of the cupboard today to set it all up again and the buttons are stuck in so I can't connect it to WiFi. I know it wasn't too expensive but I expected it to last more than one summer.

Solid hardware, useless scheduling for real gardens
The unit itself is well built, outlets are sturdy, the brass inlet feels durable, and manual on/off control through the app works reliably. If you just want to turn zones on and off remotely, it does the job fine. Where it falls apart is automated scheduling in HomeGar app (unit doesn't work with tuya or any other app) There's no option to water every 2, 3, or X days only Everyday, Odd Dates, Even Dates, or Custom (fixed weekdays). For anyone running multiple zones with different watering needs (which is the entire point of a multi-zone timer), this is a serious gap. Odd/Even Dates sounds like a workaround for "every 2 days," but it's calendar-based, not a rolling interval. Any month with 31 days breaks the pattern, the 31st and the 1st of the next month are both odd dates, so you get two waterings back to back with no gap, completely defeating the purpose. This happens every single month that isn't 30 days long. Custom weekday selection doesn't solve it either, picking fixed days like Mon/Wed/Sat gives uneven gaps (2 days, 3 days, 2 days) rather than a consistent interval, so you're approximating rather than actually controlling your watering schedule. For a basic single-zone hose timer this might be fine. For anyone trying to run a proper multi-zone drip irrigation setup with different watering frequencies per zone, the scheduling logic is a dealbreaker. Good hardware let down by software that wasn't designed with real garden use in mind.

Surprised how well it works
Technology and me aren't best of friends, so I was wary but needs must (and Amazon would let me return it). Anyway, it just works. It sits there on the tap, when I tell it to turn on this sprinkler or that it does what it's told. I've been testing so far. Now I'm setting up the timers - and that's straightforward and works as required. Pressure seems to be all that I would expect - the sprinklers seem to cover about the same area they cover just straight on the tap. What would I improve? The app. Names for zones could be more prominent, and an overview showing when each outlet is on would help to avoid two on at once.

Good piece of kit!
From taking out the box to it watering my garden has been a breeze. It’s a sturdy piece of equipment. No leaks. No pressure drop. Easy set up and functions really well. My only criticism would be having the ability to remotely switch it on as opposed to manually pushing a button.

Smart water irrigation device
I'd already brought a 2 zone model, as they are really good brought this for my mother, equally as good. Two observations, there is only so much water flow & pressure so you may need to cycle what comes on when I.e. not try and water everything at the same time. Also, this is the newer modle and uses a different hub & application to drive it, just something to note. I don't know if the hub can support either model, I would hope so but I've not tested that. Excellent product, highly recommended.
