Aquascape 40006 1 liter-33.8 oz. Rapid Clear Refill Pouch

I realize this is made for ponds but I needed floc urgently after a storm dumped mud water in the pool and the pool specific floc was out of stock. I called customer service and although they didn’t recommend for human use in a salt water/chlorinated pool, they said that it was not toxic and safe for plants and fish. Took a chance and used it anyways. This was a pool saver! I dumped the package in then ran the pump on “recirculate” for two hours then shut down the pump then left it overnight. By morning all the silt and particulate was on the bottom. Had to vacuum it out on “waste” setting then top up the water and chemicals/salt. Had to vacuum it out again after the second morning to get rid or the residual debris and was crystal clear after that.

Bought this product as an alterative to a more expensive flocculant, which worked fine. After two applications of this product, it actually made my pond greener, with not clearing at all. I would not recommend this stuff at all.

I put this product in last fall. It didn't do anything. This year I installed more filters. The foam in the filters plug within 12 hours from the flocculant. Seems the flocculant stays in the water for a long time and there is no way to remove it. I talked with Aquascape customer support and she couldn't say how long it lasts. She just said eventually it will break down. Her recommendation was to drain a 24,000 gallon pond and powerwash everything and start from scratch. Be warned

Helps clump dirt & small debris in pond & then collects in skimmer as a greenish jell So it can be scooped out. I only use if pond gets dark & excessively cloudy. Please note it does not make water crystal clear but does make pond more translucent. Helps to keep my pond in proper balance & is Safe for animals!
