Superior Fit, Function, and Comfort = Highest Recommendation
(Disclaimer: I never receive anything for any reviews, and I never will. Nor should anyone else.)If you're like me, you're as worn out as the elastic on your favorite undies trying to find the perfect pair to replace them. Of course, that’s impossible-- nothing beats our wonderful old shapeless, flimsy thing-a-ma-bobs that took 10 years of washing to get just right. Trouble is, the wives keep trying to surreptitiously toss them, and the poor old grays don't enjoy exercise any more than we do. So how the hell are we supposed to navigate the endless conflicting reports about length, construction, binding, wicking, and riding up?Well, your search is over. The Adidas Sport Performance Climalite 9" (and only this variety) are the undies you've been looking for, regardless of your level or type of activity. They are truly superior in fit and function, the perfect blend of sports car and luxury sedan, and they mix performance with sigh-inducing, daylong comfort at work. They fit like they were painted on, and yes, you will forget you're wearing them. For reference, I'm 5/10, weight 170, have a 31-32" waist, and tend towards muscular, without looking like a Calvin model (damn it). My legs are fairly built from years of lifting, and finding undies that aren’t loose at the waist and tight at the legs is a challenge.I'm a teacher and a lifelong athlete, and I'm in my early 50s. That means I ain't the muscular dude I used to be 25 years ago, and all my primeval lifting and hard physical activity has become 'fitness' and 'wellness.' In other words, I still get in a bit of lifting, and I run more than that younger, dumber kid did. As a teacher, I'm also on my feet and moving around all day. Added up, I need underwear that stays put whether I'm lifting, on a cardio machine, running, or just moving around at work, and so do you. And no matter what I'm doing, if I have to do 'the reach' and grab the ends or the crotch through my pants or workout stuff to readjust (uncool at school, and the worst when running), then the undies aren't up to the task. They have to be functional and comfortable all the time, regardless of the activity, or they’re destined for the bin. With the Adidas SPC 9s in the gym, I never have to do 'the reach' except after squats, and that's just to give them a quick reposition on the quad; the only undies that won't ever ride up at all are true briefs, and of course, with those you sacrifice crotch comfort and breathability. The Adidas 9s don’t ride up. They also don't catch on your clothes or workout stuff the way some other underthings do. For example, I like my Penguins a lot, but they're now a distant second, and they don't work for exercise. I only reach for them when my Adidas are all dirty. I just bought my 3rd two-pack of Adidas to be sure I always have a clean pair.Running underwear is often an oxymoron. Underwear promoted for running is either way overpriced, has seams in bad spots, is sized or built wrong. The Adidas SPC 9s obviate all these too. They don’t cling or bind, they don’t ride up or squitch down, they wick well, they breathe, they stay dry, and they move with you better than any other running underwear I’ve ever worn, bar none. Re. seams, they’re flat enough to evade your radar. Sometimes I have to turn undies inside out to avoid seam-sawing (running shirt manufacturers, are you listening?), but I don’t need to with these. I saw another reviewer mention that a fly for bathroom ease would have been nice, but that would have traded comfort and performance for more seams and trouble. They’re light and strong because they lack a fly, and I like them this way.For work, I adore them. I’ve also seen the word compression used in reviews, and while I don’t find them to be compressive in the way that true compression garments are, the Adidas SPC9s do have a pleasant huggy quality to them. Combined with the gliding synthetic feel, they’re elegant, perfectly form fitting, and again, forgettable. I particularly like the fact that they’re great for both athletic and casual wear, because I recycle them from work to gym or running later. They come in lots of colors and waistband designs, too, so it’s easy to know which pairs are ready for wearing or washing. The price: I played around with color options to get the best price, about $18-ish. Sounds a bit much, but I think you’ll agree that your privates are worth it. I’ve had the first pair for two years, and there’s no difference between them and my brand-new ones. Do you want to keep investing in underwear you have to replace? Me, I don’t have enough money to buy cheap things- buy it right. The construction of these undergarments is fantastic, not a loose thread or scratchy spot on any of them.Given all this, the Adidas SPC 9s are the singular underwear to buy. The other undies in my drawer are nervous now- they all know it’s just a matter of time for them. Good luck, and as always to my fellow men, all the best to your waist-down satisfaction.

Love these!
I bought a two pack and loved them. Bought a second two pack and loved those, too. I liked the first four pair so much I just bought two more two packs. These are super comfortable, dry fast and (so far) never creep up my thigh. At first I used them for hiking, walking and paddling. Now I am wearing them all the time because they are so darn comfortable. I used to get a little itchy (if you know what I mean) after wearing cotton briefs and the Ex-Officio brand. Not any more. Love, love, love these guys. I'm a 34 waist and the large fits me perfectly.

Very comfortable
I'm 5 foot 11 and 230 lbs. ( I always like to add this in a clothing review) and the extra large fit me perfectly. The shorter leg underwear had a tendency to start crawling up my leg but these stay in place very well. I wore briefs for most of my life but I noticed they were cutting into my legs and boxers were just too much material to wear under blue jeans or shorts. I've tried several brands of boxer briefs including some of the really expensive ones, but these in particular are the most comfortable regardless of price (at least for me). I've actually returned to this particular page to reorder another pair and figured I'd write a review. I hope this helps.

Comfort and Performance at a Price
I find these briefs ALMOST to be perfect. They are cut well for skinny legs, like my own, and I like the additional length, limiting the ability for the underwear to ride up, however there is not enough "dancing room." I feel constricted in the worst way, despite adequately fitting my hips and thighs. I am not say that I am gifted in any particular way, Im not, but I think the cut is limiting in the most uncomfortable way. The price is right and the materials are right, it just off by a little.

Very comfortable, fit well, cool in warm weather and fit well
This comes in a pack of two. The waistband has a soft lining, which makes it very comfortable. Another good point is that there is also no tag on the waistband. I get a size Medium (32" - 34") and the fit is just right for my 34" waistline. The fabric feels very soft and comfortable. The fit is snug and not too tight, unlike compression shorts. The fabric is a well ventilated and feels cool when running, even in warm weather. I am very pleased with them.

Wonderful product. I was in the market for a durable pair of compression shorts, and I came upon these. While the price may be a bit higher than others, it is well worth it. The level of compression is not too high, so I can wear these for hours upon hours. They are extremely comfortable whether they're used at the gym or with normal daily activities. Otherwise a boxer briefs guy, these are much more cooling and have a wonderful feel. Snug, but not restricting. If there was a way to buy more pairs for a slightly discounted price, I would use these to replace boxer briefs altogether. Highly recommended.

An extremely high quality product
I was very confused about buying new boxer briefs this time around, as I have had good and bad experiences with some expensive brands. But these are exactly as advertised, and more. They are tagless, with really high quality stitching, comfortable fabric, and perfect fit. There are too many choices with all of these unknown brands, and I'm so glad that I chose a name brand product - it makes a huge difference.
