I bought this for my cockatiels' cage, and it works well. It clamps onto the cage easily and the clamp is strong. it's as bright as I expected, and the angles are adjustable, to cover their whole cage. The timer is easy to set since I read the instructions; without the instructions, I don't know that I would have figured it out, since it's so different from the timers I have on grow lights for my house plants. I would say that it's good value for the cost.
