It was an easy installation and the people that it was installed for were very satisfied with the product as now.

A couple of years ago we purchased a tank less on-demand hot water heater, which we love. However, since these types of units don't store the hot water, but rather heat it up as you need it. The heating up and cooling down of the water within the heat exchanger in the unit can cause sediment build up if you have hard water. Which we do. This in turn tends to flake off during the cooling down of the unit, which then flushes though into your plumbing fixtures, causing all sorts of headaches due to clogging them up the tiny openings in facets and shower heads. So, we added one of the KleenWater hot water filter just off of the hot water outlet pipe of the tank less heater. Yeah! NO MORE SEDIMENT!!! Just changed the filter tonight and was amazed to see a good three tablespoons of sediment in the bottom of the filter assembly, which is where it belongs. Rinsed out the filter bowl, new filter, bit of waterless grease on the ring and good to go again. Wholly recommend this product. Very solidly built, the wrench that comes with it is a must to use.

Item was received very quickly, several days prior to estimated delivery date. The filter has been in service for approximately a month and is working as advertised, solving a long term calcite issue we have had. Installation was straight forward and posed no issues. I mounted the filter against a bulkhead which required shimming the filter off the wall by 3/4 of an inch to permit access for the wrench when changing filter cartridges. I've had no issues with odor or taste in the water from either the housing or cartridges.

I have this filter mounted on the outboard side of my Rinnai tankless gas water heater. The scale from the water heater was constantly clogging my faucet screens. Flushing and cleaning the Rinnai was not solving the problem, this filter did the trick.

I rarely (never) write reviews, but I had to get the word out about this filter. I use an electric, tankless water heater and have hard water. I love the water heater, but the little bits of calcium blocking my faucets and shower heads was a real problem. I saw this filter in action at a friend's house, and decided to give it a try before investing in a water softener.It works. No more clogged shouwer heads for faucets. I don't believe that I have ever been happier with a product.

Seems to be filtering rusty water great. See my photo below of a filter after 2 years of use in a building with rusty pipes.

I read something from another reviewer somewhere commenting about issues with the mounting bracket. I wasn't sure what he was describing. Now I know. And since I am installing for someone across town, it causes me to make an extra trip. If you decide to use the mounting bracket, the design has issues. There is no space between the wall and the housing. This means in order to get the supplied "wrench" around the collar to remove or tighten, you have to pull/bend it away from the wall. Then the "wrench" is bound and it is difficult to turn. Very awkward. I will be going back today to finish the job. I will be adding a spacer to the bracket to create some room. It should work.The supplier MUST know about this. It is not suttle. It is a glaring design flaw. Not sure how long they have been selling it this way, but to me it is clear that they don't care. Otherwise either it would be fixed or they would provide a spacer or at least a warning. This cost me time and money. I'm offended.Outside of that, further review comments will be after installation. For now, 3 stars.
