Not waterproof (or even water resistant). Not sure it will last This is strange product. It looks so well designed and functional and exactly what I needed for my small tender to comply with local regulations at night. When you open the packaging though, the cheap production methods pop out at you immediately. The red on/off switch seems to be super glued in place (and not in a consistent manner). Additionally, the clear plastic top protecting the LED also seems to have been super glued onto the main body. While the body does screw onto the base with o rings, after one night in the rain I noticed condensation and droplets on the inside of the clear plastic top. At that point it started randomly turning on and off. Trying to get the moisture out was a nightmare (obviously as a result of all that glue you cannot disassemble, nor self fix/diagnose a problem) and I ended up having to buy silica gel to try and get the moisture out. It is a real pity because if you go to the shoreline website you feel they promise quality.
