Out of the box, the 5.9 qt fryer is a little on the large side. I have a small kitchen, and it takes up about half the counter width from front to back. The basket itself is huge though, and was large enough to cook almost an entire bag of curly fries and, separately, seven whole chicken wings - both without overlapping. I had no issues with opening or closing the outer basket, or removing/reinserting the inner basket. The only issue I had was the unit arriving with a loose screw that attaches the handle to the inner basket. The nut that locks onto the screw is cross-threaded, leaving some wiggle room for the screw to shift in or out. (See picture) There's no way to tighten it further without removing the nut, thereby (most likely) leaving the screw stripped and unusable. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere, so I am leaving it in place for now.It doesn't come with much in terms of a user manual, but this fryer is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Pushing the menu button (M) will let you choose one of the preset time/temp selections. I used the "fries" preset button (400 for 18 min) and watched the progress. They didn't need the entire 18 min, so I'll probably just use the manual time and temp buttons. FYI, the temp button is in 10 degree increments.There are no accessories with this unit, so I purchased some 8 inch XL Fryer Accessories. Everything fits well, except I will most likely reorder 9 inch paper liners when I run out of the 8 inch that are included. The basket isn't round, so there's room for food to slide off the liners.As I stated earlier, I put seven whole, thawed chicken wings in a single layer. None were overlapping, but they were touching some on the ends. Based on a tip from a friend, I cooked the wings at 390 for the entire 30 minutes that the timer will allow, flipping the wings over after 15 min. Then I added another 5 min, just so that I could get the crispiness I was looking for. They already had a coating of salt/pepper, so all I had to do was toss them in my homemade buffalo sauce. These were fall-off-the-bone delicious!! Tip: Place a sheet of aluminum foil underneath the inner basket to catch the chicken juices or any sauce.This fryer is very quiet, almost to where I wouldn't even know it was on unless I saw the digital "fan" spinning. The fan icon has an inner red light that comes on when the device is putting out heat. Note: if you want to turn the device off during the cooking cycle, the fan icon will keep spinning, but the red light will go off. It will shut off after about 10 seconds.Overall I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. After four uses, the Teflon coating is still in place and it cleans easily by hand. I will update if needed with any changes. I highly recommend this fryer!

It's fairly easy to use and was economical too. Nice large capacity. Love the way it makes my food crispy without the heavy oily taste. Everyone in my family loves it. My son now doesn't mind cooking his own meals. Try it with chicken wings. They will be the best you ever had.

It gets the job done

I had purchased air-fryers as gifts for my kids; and with my Christmas Amazon gift cards - I was out to get my own! This model is different than the ones I had purchased, and actually, I like the size of this larger one better. I live alone, but have 4 grandkids who visit often so this was a very good fit. From what I saw with others, and now with my own use, it makes sense to just go with the larger size if possible. At the base - it only takes up the space of a large toaster, and is high, but it fits under cabinet just fine. I love it, and look forward to using it for many recipes. It is especially awesome for any 'fried' leftovers from take-out!

I got this a gift for a friend of mine and, she just open the box and wanted to used it as soon as she plug it for the first time its smell like it was going to go on fire, I wanted to returned it. it was never used brand new first time open from the box. I understand its late to retuned it but like I said I order as a gift and its smells like it was going to go on fire. please consider it and can I returned it I pay a lot of money for it and like I said never been used. can I returned it.apologies for the delay please, thank you for your understanding in this very important matter. Love this air fryer!! The chicken wings were awesome. I used to do the baking powder trick for oven baked but they took forever & were not nearly as crispy as ones made in this.

Really easy to use, bigger then I expected, cooks fast

1. The button is very hard for me to press (especially if you have fingernails!), and even when the button is completely depressed, the basket doesn't want to come lose from the bottom part. I fight with it all the time!2. Even for 2 people, the 5.9 quart is not big enough to cook in. Would like to have an insert, so you can cook more things on a rack.3. The on/off button also sticks! I can't shut it off and end up opening the basket so it shuts off.Do I have a defective one????
