Great value
I bought this when I started making food for my dogs. I was using rice, but it adds weight from the carbs. Barley is an excellent filler with fiber instead of carbohydrates. This still keeps my ground turkey, barley, sweet potato and carrot stew affordable. I can throw it all in a pot to boil and have a great topper and/or meal in just 45 minutes. I don't soak it overnight, and I only boil it for 40-45 minutes. I made a fresh batch for my self using the soak and boil for 1-1/2 hours method but I didn't really notice much difference from what I made for them in the shorter time.

Best healthy food ever!
It's great for your body, you will be surprised about your blood pressure. It's a protein which can be used with fruit and almond milk. A perfect breakfast. Great on your salad and just as a side dish. I'm hooked for life.

Good, clean sprouting barley
No dirt or debris like I have had from other sellers. Very high germination rate. I really don't know how many didn't sprout because I couldn't tell because there were so many roots and sprouts.

Very impressed
I love to support smaller businesses and especially ones who provide good healthy products. The grain arrived direct from the grower not a third party. That tells me it likely hasn't sat in a warehouse exposed to who knows what. It appears very fresh and good....I do plan to try my hand at growing a little, but the rest is being cooked or stored. They do include a nice card and recipe - which is a very nice personal touch. It comes in two bags which again is a nice touch. The bags are brown paper with a nice label. In fact the packaging would even make a nice gift. They also sell several other grains and I will definitely be ordering a couple of them. The grain is really nice and so was the price.
