I would just say, If you are planning on using this on grass, then you may want to consider purchasing a fire resistant / proof mat so that you don't singe the perfectly green grass underneath 😅. First off, the fire pit is relatively small. Don't just go by the pictures in the product description, check out the dimensions. The fire pit is very much portable. It comes in its own carrying bag and set-up does not take long. It can be assembled in minutes. The first assembly took a bit longer just to get acquainted with the orientation and what goes where. The assembly instructions are conveniently attached to the inside of the bag so there is no need to worry about loose paper or a separate manual. The unit is very lightweight and easy to transport in the convenient carry bag. There are aluminum baffles at the top acting as a windbreak around the perimeter. There is also a heat shield near the bottom which will collect any residual ashes. Given that your fire is elevated, this makes a perfect backyard fire pit with no worry about ruining your grass. The stainless steel fire net is a three piece integrated and foldable unit which is where your fire will actually burn. The entire assembly sits on a high density stainless steel base. If you have been wanting a small fire pit but holding back due to concerns about damaging your lawn area, look no further than this portable unit for convenience. The best thing about it is that it is not a permanent structure and when you are done with it, just do a bit of clean-up and store it until next time. Also, take note that no tools of any kind are required for assembly. It is a fully self-contained unit.
