Despite the expiration date in may 2019, these nuts are old and stale. They taste terrible.Beware that the seller does not accept returns.With the high oil content in nuts, under proper cold storage, nuts remain fresh for an extended period.Apparently these nuts were stored in poor conditions.That's a shame, these nuts are pretty... they are just old.

Purchased these nuts because our local Wegman's no longer has them in our local stores. Purchased these for the up coming Thanksgiving holiday. Was VERY pleased with the prompt delivery and the high quality of packaging, clean clear bag within clean and sturdy corrugated box. Product is fresh and only found 3ea broken shells out of 5lbs. Amazing, roasted them the same day of delivery. Mmmm very good. Will purchase again for us and we already have recommended to purchase these to our friends.

I'm disappointed. I paid roughly $32 for 5 lbs. of hazelnuts in the shell which yielded slightly more than 32 oz. of shelled nuts. There were a few shells without nutmeats in them, and a few of them weren't flavorful—but I expect that. The product itself was not problematic; the problem is in the value for the money: when I'm paying $16/lb. for the finished product, I expect a superior quality. Nothing that I experienced in this purchase would prompt me to buy this product again at this price. A sad experience! I will not buy these again, unless the price is cut in half.

I bought these for my pet squirrels. They need hard nuts for proper trimming of their teeth. But turns out they do more than chew on them, they love the taste! They do forage them a lot though but as soon as I find them & give the nuts back to the squirrels they're shredded & eaten within minutes! Thanks for growing these I know it's very time consuming & hard to grow the trees that the nuts come off of. Its almost impossible to find shelled organic nuts & even more impossible to get a good price! So thank you again & I will be ordering more as soon as their stash is low!

Can't comment on the flavor as I bought these in bulk for the squirrels living on my property. They absolutely LOVE these nuts, and they come scampering when they hear the sound of my patio door opening now. Nuts arrived in great condition, with very few broken. Value was good, as they were the least cost per ounce the day I ordered them of any offered. I'll be ordering more this week!

I bought this because hazelnuts are my favorite snack. But they arrived and they have no taste. They aren’t fresh. I don’t think they were stored properly. Cannot return because of policy but def would now if I could. Super bummed!!!!

I purchased these to use as a vase filler. Most were whole and not broken and the color was uniform. I cannot attest to their taste, but they look good.
