Got for my granddaughter for a Christmas gift so although with the leather cover o expect it will last years but then teenagers can be tougher on things then adults. Glad it came with the unlined papers and refills can be purchased right here on Amazon. Also thanks to early black Friday sale, i got for a great price. After getting this i ended up ordering for grandsons in the brown color. I did consult my sister who is an arrest, she said she carried those size sketch book for years. That is great when you are waiting and want to draw too pass the time. It has been delivered and 8 love the color. Seems to be thick enough leather to protect ways inside and it's they prefer can always get them the refill of lined paper. When their parents were in school i remember they were encouraged to write daily in a journal. Hopefully they still do. That was another thing i liked about this morning is it can be versatile using either lined paper or plain sheets for drawing. So far u highly recommend. While i feel it will be perfect for granddaughter, was surprised when the mother's of the grandsons suggested they would also get allot of use out of it. Will report back out any difficulties.

Aesthetically, these are beautiful. Vibrant colors on the cover, bound well, paper is a'ight... for writing, or pencil sketching. I paint and draw- and through the decades, I've come to be a novice paper snob. This won't be good for painting. You can remove a page, tape it down, and maybe gesso it prior to painting? But the paper is really not designed for it. Even colored pencils, heavy pencils- I'd be a bit skeptical with it. Feel like it won't like erasing too much. Maybe chalk pastels? Lightly? Otherwise light sketching, or light pen work. Great for writing. If you're left handed you can remove/add pages. Collaging- be prepared to remove a bunch of pages. The binding does not leave much room for adding excess. Otherwise good size for travel. Feels nice. The three rings surprised me on how well they've held together so far. It's cute, but swap out for your own paper, or get a sketchbook instead, if you're looking to art all over it. Again, great for journaling/writing, though. Beautiful little book.

Journal notebook is a beautiful option for a gift or for yourself, they also sell separate papers that you can add to your journal notebook! I am inlove with this. The material is absolutely beautiful

I read that it was a smaller journal, I just didn’t imagine how small. It’s about the height of a male deodorant tube. I purchased this journal for my teen daughter to do her SOAP journaling. She doesn’t write very small but has enough space for the needs. The wrap around rope to secure the journal close gives this personality and kinda has that vintage appeal to it. Almost like back in the Victorian times. My daughter loves that. The paper is thicker than I expected, which makes it seem like higher quality. There was no odors from the leather, it is really a cute little journal. I think the quality is good value for the price.

I like everything about this beautiful book. The color (dark green) with beautifully etched leaf 🍃 design. Looks exactly as seen. I liked it so much that I decided to get one for my daughter too. She loves it. Great price!! Also refill pages are available just as the ones in the book. However there are many other pages also available lined, unlined & versions colors. Great purchase. I purchased this Art Sketchbook / Writing Journal for my 14 year old granddaughter. I read through everything ~ size, dimensions, number of page front and back, etc. ~ including the reviews. I looked at the pictures. When I received the Sketchbook it was the one I ordered and looked exactly as it did online. I realize colors can look different on different devices so I allowed for that. But the color was as shown in website. Everything was as stated and it was slightly better than I expected. Some reviewers feel the length of the wrap around cord is too short, however, I feel it's just right. For people who choose to carry this with them or keep in a purse or tote, a short cord makes it easier. And I like that it's refillable so a lot of pages aren't carried at one time. My granddaughter really enjoys drawing and doodling. I'm sure she is really going to enjoy this Art Sketchbook.

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend who loves writing in her journals. I didn't want to get a basic journal but rather something that has character and that she would be able to keep for years to come. I absolutely love the color and the detail on the leather is simply beautiful. For the craftsmanship and durability I did not paying the asking price and was very pleased with the product. I would buy this again and hopefully there will be more options and designs to choose from. Mahalo!

This is a beautiful journal, but I love the ring binder, so I can refill it once I've used all the pages. Excellent gift idea for my loved ones, too.
