Perfect budget 10Gbe upgrade switch – 2x 10G copper + 4x 2.5G ports – actually works!
Bought this no-name (looks like a rebadged Hasivo or YuanLey OEM) unmanaged 10Gbe switch for $119 on a Lightning Deal and I’m honestly shocked at how good it is for the money. What you get: 2 × 10Gbase-T RJ45 ports (real 10 Gbit/s, Cat6a or better) 4 × 2.5Gbase-T RJ45 ports (backwards compatible with 1G/100M) Tiny fanless metal case, completely silent 12V 1.5A wall-wart power supply (included) Real-world performance My desktop (10G NIC) ↔ Synology DS1823xs+ (10G port) hits sustained 1.12 GB/s (9.4 Gbps) copying large 4K/8K video files. Zero packet loss, rock solid. My three 2.5Gbe devices (PS5, Shield TV, WiFi 6E AP on 2.5Gbe port) all negotiate 2.5Gbps instantly and run without issues. Plugged my old 1Gbe devices into the remaining ports and everything just works – no compatibility drama. Build & heat 100% passive cooling, case gets warm (around 55-60°C under full 10G load) but totally fine. No thermal throttling even after 24-hour file transfers. Feels like a solid chunk of aluminum. Pros Dirt cheap for true 10G copper + multi-gig ports Truly plug-and-play unmanaged (literally zero config) Silent, low power (~8-10W idle, ~18W max) Small enough to velcro under the desk Cons (minor) No link aggregation / LACP (it’s unmanaged, expected) Power supply cable is only 3ft long No mounting ears (but it’s so light it doesn’t matter) If you just need a fast, dumb switch to connect a NAS, gaming PC, and a couple multi-gig devices without spending $300+ on a Trendnet or QNAP, this thing is an absolute no-brainer. Already ordered a second one for the office. Highly recommended – saved me from buying a way more expensive “name brand” switch that does the exact same thing. 10/10 for the price.

Reliable, Fast, and Quiet
I bought this NICGIGA switch for my growing home lab, and it’s been fantastic so far. Setup was truly plug-and-play — I just connected power and cables, and it worked right away without any configuration needed. Performance has been rock-solid. All ports deliver full advertised speeds, and I haven’t noticed any packet loss or random disconnects, even under heavy file transfers between my servers and main PC. I also appreciate how quiet it is — no loud fan noise, which makes it perfect for a home office or bedroom setup. The build quality feels solid and premium for the price. The metal housing helps with heat dissipation, and it stays cool even after running 24/7 for weeks. I’m using it with a mix of 1Gb and 10Gb connections, and it handles them seamlessly. If you’re looking for an affordable but dependable switch for your home lab, office, or gaming setup, this NICGIGA model is a great choice. It’s simple, reliable, and doesn’t run hot or noisy. Highly recommend!

Nice switch
Works well and great price. I have two Mac’s with 10gb and 3 with 2.5 gb adapters. They all play nice together.

Cost Effective way to install 10gb in your house while waiting for prices to go down on switches
This will allow you to run a 10GB backbone threw out your house & have every single device run off 2.5GB its great way to save money and still buy new. I am using it right now, it seems to be running pretty cool & it dose not cost thousands to upgrade my complete network + IP cameras all while giving the ability to have 10GB with-in min with additional upgrades.

Would buy it again if I need more ports
Doesn’t get hot, does the job, never had a problem, plug and play, fool proof! Casing is made of metal, looks good. Ports work as it states.

Great Unmanaged Switch
Fantastic switch. Ended up running fiber throughout the house instead of Cat Cable. I use Cat 8 shielded patch cables to connect to devices. This has made video at the TVs in my home amazing. The gaming systems, computers, etc all run much faster when needing network connection. Much better than WiFi. It also frees up the number of devices on the WiFi as well. Now the bottleneck to my devices is the internet connection to the outside world. Sadly my town does not have fiber internet yet so I’m operating on StarLink.

Handles 10 GbE DAC full rate no issues
I've been running a nas with a 10 GbE SFP DAC on the uplink and 4 proxmox nodes for about 4-5 months now. Works perfectly. During the backup time-frames, with each or the proxmox nodes on 2.5 GbE links it handles a full 10 gigabit transfer rate with no hiccups at all.

Fails continuously
I bought this switch on July. I replaced a 1GB switch I had for about 9 years because my internal cabling is Cat7 and Cat8, plus my internet is over 1GB. I also have a PC with 2.5 and 5GB NICs, so I decided to update just because of the PC. My Plex server is there and I connected the PC 5GB cable onto the 10GB SFP+ (I bought the tranceiver 1GB-10GB) It was working great, until a month later, it stopped. My wifi was still working, but the switch was not. I restarted the switch and it started to work. A few weeks later, whilte taking a school test, stopped working. I did the same as before and restarted. Now, this has been happening on an off weekly, and sometimes more than once a week. Now, yesterday (11/3) it failed. I could not see the light of the second cable for the PC because it was on the bottom port, so I changed it with one on top and it started working. I stopped troubleshooting and put the cables back as they were. Tonight (11/4), it stopped right before class. I went to see the switch and lifted it. I did not unplugged anything, but moved the switch to look at the lights on the bottom ports and made sure the sfp+ was secure. When I came back to my PC to test some commands, the internet had come back. This let me to believe the problem is with the switch. After only three months it fails continuously. I am going to contact support and see what they do. So far, it has not been easy to reach them. I will update once I reach them and have a resolution. Posible problems are: SFP+ port getting too hot, mechanical/electrical issues inside.

Sembra funzionare perfettamente, raggiungendo i 10Gbps teorici sulle porte dedicate. Se avete bisogno di una rete dedicata per un NAS e un home lab, è perfetto.
