Kingston Branded Memory 48GB DDR5 5600MT/s SODIMM KCP556SD8-48 Laptop Memory

It was bought for a laptop ram upgrade. Works perfectly.

Have owned and run the Kingston 8Gb (as an upgrade to the previous 2Gb provided inside my basic Acer ES-14 laptop as new) for over 18 months now. They have proven to be dependable and have given the rather sedate laptop a good, usable boost in performance.

I bought 2x 8GB of these to upgrade my Dell laptop to 16GB of memory (in dual channel mode), back in April of 2024. They have worked reliability and fast ever since (at 2666 MHz, as supported by the CPU memory controller). All working good.

This Kingston 4GB 1.35V 1600MHz SODIMM is the same specification and make as the one already fitted in my three-year-old laptop, and it is the version linked to from the Kingston website as being appropriate for my W7P machine. With a little bit of care and patience it eventually went into the previously unused socket on my machine, and then passed the memory test with flying colours. For the last couple of years the laptop has not needed the extra memory, but some new more recent and more intensive work started to do a lot of memory<->disc swapping and slowed the machine down; fortunately, now with the extra 4GB it is back up to speed again. As usual with all these semiconductor parts it is essential to take precautions against damage from ESD (Electro-Static Discharge); don't touch any of the circuitry or the contacts on the card, only hold the card by the edges on the far side from the contacts, and make sure to remain grounded to the laptop chassis before and during inserting the memory.

Slightly trickier to fit in my particular computer, fits horizontally on the motherboard, instead of vertically. But works just fine, shows as 8 Gb all right. Bit disappointed as no noticeable performance improvement (as previously found with other computers)

Memory upgrade for Apple Macbook Pro 2012 - fits pefectly and easy to install. Great upgrade for an older computer at a very good price for branded memory. I have ordered more for a Mac Mini!

Computer seemed to be on its last legs - very slow - was about to buy a replacement. Then noticed it had only 4GB RAM. So added this 8GB. Worked like a dream! Worked like new. (Thought computer would have 2+2 GB installed but it turned out to be 4+0, so adding the 8 gave 4+8 = 12; better than the 2+8=10 I was expecting)

Took a few hours for it to work, trying various slots, in and out 20 times but eventually the imac recognised it and now works perfect.

on time delivery . performance as expected. worked like a charm in first go after installation into laptop. Can easily feel the difference , earlier my Dell laptop had stock 8GB ram and with the applications I use simultaneously it was always choked at around 80-90% , though it didnt hamper the performance as I already replaced my stock HDD with SSD but still looking at it was alarming. After installing additional RAM , the RAM usage is at 50% in my usual usage. Very Satisfied
