After a few weeks I'd like to share a few thoughts about this product. Let's start with the pros, the tumbler is well made, feels good in my hand. The bamboo is gorgeous. The inside is porcelain and not stainless steel or plastic which I've found over time gradually leaves a residual "taste" behind which is not at all what I want then drinking my tea. If you want the tea to stay warmer longer, preheat the vessel with hot water for several minutes then discard and add freshly steeped tea.The only con I have is that I can only fit one cup (8 ounces of tea in here). I would LOVE one that held at least 12 ounces but 16 would be ideal. I'm usually taking my tea with me on the go and more is what I'd want.

This looks and feels great...but it will NOT keep your drink hot very long at all. Not only that, but this is a NON-RETURNABLE product. So now I'm stuck with a Tea Mug which only holds luke-warm tea!?!I don't return many products to Amazon, but the process is fairly easy when needed. This is the first time I am unable to return so I'm making others aware. IF YOU WANT YOUR BEVERAGE TO REMAIN HOT, BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT - one you can return if it doesn't work to your needs.

Update on 1/22/20 - The bamboo sleeve on the outside of the bottle came off. The bottle doesn't really do a good job of keeping temperature. If you are not very particular about getting a ceramic tea strainer tumbler, I suggest that you look elsewhere.I received the tumbler today and was super excited at first, but now I don't know how I feel. The sticker on the box for the tumbler was already open when it arrived. The bamboo on the tumbler is very pretty and it feels sturdy. But at the bottom of the tumbler, there were a lot of black particles on it. I don't know if that is considered normal or not, but after a little scrub, it all went away so I was fine with it. But the thing that really turned me off was the tea strainer. I was washing/testing hot water in the tumbler with the strainer inside and after I remove the strainer, I saw that there were black marks on the cup. It came off with a wipe but it still turned me off. On closer inspection, I see some marks on the strainer that are like water didn't dry properly and/or greenish mold.I am gearing towards keeping the tumbler just because it's the only tumbler that I found that have a spot for a tea strainer (luckily I have another one from my other broken bottle), is made of ceramic, and is leak free for the most part.

I've tried three bamboo tea tumblers, and this is definitely The One.This tumbler is really thoughtfully designed. The ceramic lining leaves your tea tasting fresh without the metalic-y zing of stainless. It wraps around the lid which means your tea, and your lips, only touch ceramic, not plastic or metal. Feels comfortable in your hand.Tea stays hot. Filter works great. You can alternately use the two-part filter to keep sipping tea while the tea is still steeping. I take it out after steeping assam and the like, but I leave it in for some herbal teas like roasted buckwheat.The lid fits perfectly. Comes with a silicon alternate lid for sipping. The outside appears to be genuine bamboo. I wish it were a tad bigger - but overall, I've found my tumbler.

I really really like this mug. I specifically looked for a ceramic mug because I've always hated metal travel mugs. This mug did exactly what I wanted: made everything taste great! And, as an irresponsible hot drink drinker, I oftentimes switch between drinks without cleaning my ceramic mugs, which works fine with this mug.Only problem is, I dropped it and it broke. Less than a week after I got it. :(It did survive one fall earlier in the week.I will now be buying a bigger mug from the same company, and carrying it more carefully. :)

I love this container more so because how good it looks with the Bamboo and Stainless steel they go so good togetherI am actually drinking more tea because I love drinking it out of my tumbler. anyway that's my review short but sweet

I love my new tea mug. It is great except that you can only have the lid on or the silicone lid on. Not both at the same time. Otherwise my tea stays hot for an extended amount of time, it is very comfortable to hold.

I wish this product was made better than what it is. It’s beautiful BUT IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN! I have been hand washing it of course and trying not to have it submerged in water but when you rinse it, it’s going to happen for 2seconds or less no matter what. I suppose those 2seconds mattered because after having this mug for less than a month, already I can hear and feel water being trapped in between the ceramic portion of the mug and the bamboo portion. Truly disappointing.I wish there was a way to unscrew the two apart so I can let the trapped water drain out, but there isn’t. It’s officially ruined for life.. after only A FEW WEEKS! :(
