Kimbo Intenso Espresso Capsules, Nespresso Compatible, Dark Roast, 100 Ct (EU Version)

I tried espresso pods from other vendors. None came anywhere close to Nespresso's own pods. Then I tried these Kimbo Intenso pods and I was so pleasantly surprised by the great taste and the aroma of this brand that I became a regular customer! Over the last 2 years, I've ordered 100-pack Kimbo pods 5 times. Kimbo pods are 100% Arabica coffee. That is quality. In addition to the great taste and aroma, these pods are priced right --- about half of the cost of Nespresso-brand pods! I highly recommend it.

If you love a strong full bodied coffee then Kimbo 12 is it. The aroma when you brew it is rich and makes you feel like you're in an expensive coffee house. The creamy froth it makes sticks to the side of the cup as you sip.of you know , you know ! The color is a decadent dark brown. The flavor is robust and everything a good espresso should be. I will purchase again and again .

I am always looking for affordable alternatives to Nespresso branded capsules, but at the same time I am more than happy to find something that is unique and different. These pods produce an acceptable standard espresso flavor for my daily drinking. First of all, these KIMBO capsules are affordable. At $31 for 100 capsules we're looking at a 31 cent per shot cost which is VERY GOOD (based on the price when I wrote this review). Secondly, the flavor of the espresso is very dark, intense, roasted with the bitterness that is reminiscent of typical Italian espresso that you might find at an ordinary coffee shop "Bar" in Italy. The flavor is derived from 100% Arabica beans and this is by far superior to other blends that feature proportions of Robusta beans. Third, the performance of the pods are consistent - I have not experienced any clogging yet and each brew has extracted consistently. If you are looking for a very good, value priced option that has the typical flavor profile of Italian espresso then these pods will deliver. I drink my espresso straight and use these as my daily drinker - sometimes 2-3 times per day and also find that it performs well when used in milk drinks too.

I've been using the Kimbo Espresso Intenso Nespresso capsules for about a 1 1/2 years. I love a rich, dark, intense coffee and this is the perfect match for me. I've never had a faulty capsule and it it turns out perfect every time. Rich, frothy and affordable too. I like that I can order a box of 100 and it's lasts all month. Bought a huge box of these at a great price to make espresso martinis with in my Nespresso, and these have stellar taste and cannot be beat for their price and value, they fit perfectly they do not leak, and they have just fantastic taste. True and strong.

I have been trying different Nespresso-compatible pods, especially the lower price/pod brands. I have found several that make a nice, small cup of coffee, and that work fine in a cappuccino, but not that actually work making an espresso. But this one (KIMBO) is the winner!! Rich, bold taste. Thorough extraction (that has been the main problem with cheaper brands). This is slightly more expensive per pod, but not nearly at the level of some of the other "brand names."

I hate writing bad reviews because I feel like a whiny entitled snob, but if you bought a Nespresso machine you'd likely enjoy premium espresso and this is NOT that. It tastes like a robusta bean. Heavy, acrid, and unpleasant. I now have 100 pods I have no idea what to do with as the reviews were so positive. I don't think 1 person out of hundred in a blind taste test with this and Nespresso would choose Kimbo. I hate writing negative reviews but also want to try and help. Lor is a more inexpensive Nespresso pod I would choose if trying to save money but not Kimbo

I've purchased MANY Nespresso (Pixie/Original) alternative pods (Starbucks, Lavazza etc) in search of a cheaper a replacement and BINGO, I finally found/tried Kimbo! Kimbo Intenso for me is the prefect replacement for the following reasons: - $0.43 Canadian / pod - Fresh, not stale - Pod does not get crushed like Lavazza, so I get the full pour - An intense truly dark roast, with a very rich & bold flavour, with high level of acid with a thick foamy crema! I do not drink light, nor medium coffees! I do not use cream, nor sweeteners (sugar, honey etc). If I can not get the darkest roast, darkest pour coffee (Starbucks French Roast---2kg beans from Costco, ground extra fine daily--is what I my work coffee) I'd rather have a strong black tea.
