Review: Get the right fit. Quality that doesn’t break the bank. - I can’t really say anything bad about this jacket for the price. This is made well and provides the protection you expect from a jacket like this and more so especially at this price range. I wanted to really focus more on the fit of the jacket. For reference I’m 5’4, 167lbs. My suit size is 40S, jacket/shirt size is medium, dress shirt arm length is 32/33 and waist is 34. I would say my body type is more like a short running back. At first I ordered the medium because that’s the usual size I wear and it did fit me, but it felt like it was a relaxed fit. The pads were a little bit lower on the arms than where they needed to be and the back pad was sagging and had this awkward look on my back. Even though the jacket fit it didn’t feel right on my body and it was really unappealing because it looked too bulky and somewhat baggy on me. So I returned it and ordered a small. Everything that I had complaints about on the medium went away with the small. Pads were at the proper area. Even the back armor was flush on my back and the whole jacket overall just looked more aesthetic. So if you’re like me try a small rather than maybe a medium and you can probably save your self a trip to return the item and time to re order it.

I can not speak to the jacket's durability in a crash, and I hope I never can. However, I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't do it's job under that condition as well. The sizing is good; at 6'4" tall and 200lbs I ordered an XL, and the fit is just right. The soft micro fleece/tricot collar liner is a nice bonus, and eliminates any potential for chafing. I would have preferred zippered gussets at the wrists, but the pleated Velcro closures seem to work well enough, and I can't really complain about cold air coming in at those points. The zipper in the rear of the jacket mates well to my rain pants (of different manufacture). The manufacturer seems to have gotten it right with this product.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent budget jacket, too hot for warm weather.

Overall the jacket is of reasonable quality for such a low price. In Colorado I've ridden with it fully lined in 40º and it was perfectly comfortable. Above 75º it is quite hot. The vents are okay, but only if you have a full stream of wind hitting them, riding behind a modest fairing/windshield renders them pretty useless. The liner zips out and unbuttons from the sleeves pretty quickly so transitioning is easy. I'm 6' and 240lbs and I got an XL. It fits snug like a motorcycle is supposed to, but not tight, quite a perfect fit for me. I have broad shoulders and a thicker middle section and normally wear XL shirts and ordered the jacket to match and was not disappointed. The two downsides I see are #1 it's not a warm weather jacket whatsoever. There is good protection with quality materials, but the trade off is warmth. On cold days it is great. #2 the sleeves at the wrist are pretty enormous and the velcro closures flap around if you close them snugly. When it's warm I've kept them somewhat looser than I would like so air flows into the sleeves, this alleviates the closure flap issue, but I don't like that when they are snug there's 2 inches of velcro flap that has nothing to attach to. It is good when it's warm to fit around larger gloves if that's how you like to ride. For the fit and value I'm overall impressed. I'm looking for another jacket for hot weather.
