Best one I've had
This is by far the most light weight and easiest to use machine I've had. It cleans really well too! The suction is fantastic. There is no leakage. It's a stylish machine with beautiful colors. Not that that really matters since it spends most days waiting to get out of the closet. I do wish the cord was longer though. I also wish the dirty water bucket had more capacity.

Great carpet cleaner
My Bissell carpet cleaner just broke so I bought this during prime days. I have a long haired cat who mainly occupies the downstairs of my house which is all carpet. He on occasion hacks up hairballs and what not or will run his butt along the carpet if his you-know-what is in his fur. Sometimes my 1yr old will spill the cats water or the cats wet cat food has splattered for whatever reason. So I always have a shampooer in my house and have always shampooed my carpets in general. So far Itโs done very well the few times Iโve used it. Its cleaned any stains up even old ones I couldnโt get up in the past. I havenโt had to pretreat, where with my bissel I would have to. Itโs very light and easy to maneuver around. My last two carpet cleaners,Hoover and Bissell, were bulky My favorite is the hose/spot cleaner attachment is all there and ready to go. My last two were separate, so you had to go get the hose and hook it up and take it off, which was not convenient imo. I also like that it has a dry only option so you can really make sure your carpet is dry. Which brings me to the suction, itโs strong. My Bissel was not as good. I like the hair collector basket in the dirty water canister. Itโs easy to remove the canisters for tossing out the dirty water, and cleaning it, or refilling cleaner canister. It is sort of loud, not any louder than the other carpet cleaners Iโve had but I donโt really care about that personally. Overall Iโm pleased with this purchase itโs, kind of expensive but it works exceptionally well. I feel itโs worth it with the results Iโve gotten and ease of use. Plus it will last along time.

Highly recommend!
This made shampooing carpets so much easier! The tanks are easy to open and empty. You are able to access the inside of the dirty water tank to clean it! The top of the vacuum head and tools open so no more trying to clean them with a special crevice tool. Good quality seals on tanks and tools. My carpets look so much better!

Worse purchase to best purchase within minutes.
For the first 10 minutes, I honestly thought I had made the WORST decision ever buying this cleaner! ๐ The instructions clearly state that this is not a vacuum cleaner and that you need to vacuum the carpet first before using it. I was completely disappointed and ready to pack it back up and return it. But then I decided to give its cleaning abilities a try, and OMG!!! ๐คฏ This cleaner is AMAZING! It picks up so much pet hair and collects it in a little basket inside the dirty water container. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! In just 20 minutes, I cleaned a 15 x 20-foot carpet! I had to dump the dirty water 3 times and empty 4 baskets full of fur! ๐ถ๐ฑ I went from thinking I had made a terrible purchase to being absolutely impressed! If you have pets and struggle with all the fur, pee and stains they leave behind, I HIGHLY recommend this cleaner! โค๏ธ๐พ

Bissell or Shark?
Honest review I have three kids, three cats (one of which is very long hair) and a puppy who still pees on my rug. Iโve had a bissell โpower force petโ for three years. 1. Bissell is much lighter. The shark is so heavy which makes it really hard on my lupus issues. Iโm in actual pain. 2. The fact the shark doesnโt have a tigger is kind of annoying because you go thru so much more fluid but it did make the carpet much cleaner than Bissell ever did 3. Shark does not clog or spit back big clumps of hair like the Bissell. With Bissell I was always scooping up gross wet chunks of hair as I cleaned and taking off the front panel to unclog it. Shark also doesnโt get hair stuck on the spin brush with is nice 4 WETNESS!!! Bissell always left my carpet soaked no matter how many times I went over it. With the shark, my carpet gets practically dry and much faster. The suction is waaay better with the shark! 5. The dirty tanks.. the sharks tank is smaller by a lot and it lets out way more water at a time so dumping is much more frequent. But the Bissell poured dirty water back out of the bottom when you turn it off. 6. Sound. Bissell is quit compared to the shark. The shark is not only loud from the better suction but it lets of a high pitched squeezing sound that is deafening in an enclosed hallway. Over all, I would choose shark. Even tho itโs a lot heavier and requires more water dumps, it cleaned my carpets much better and dried them faster.

Cleaning is not bad, but too many small annoyances for its price
UPDATE: Dropping my rating from 2 stars to 1. When I tried to disassemble the machine for return, I could not get the handle off. The release is a small hole you press into with something like an allen key. The pin moved in when I pushed it, but the handle would not budge at all. It's a basic thing to expect to do when packing up a product for return, and it was almost impossible. Whether that's intentional or just poor design, it adds to my overall impression of a product that was not well thought out. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Long review, but I wanted to be thorough. tldr; The carpet cleaning itself is not bad. It's everything around it that wears on you, and at this price those things add up quite fast. There's no low water setting. You either get full water or none, and it's all "automatic", so you can't control how much it sprays (or when, it always sprays moving forward). If you back up a little too far or you're trying to maneuver, your options are to spray water on a spot you've already cleaned, switch to dry mode and back for a couple of feet every time this happens, or lift the whole heavy machine. Lifting is awkward too. The natural place to grab is the top, but that's where the clean water tank sits, so you just pull the tank off. That leaves two choices: bend all the way down and grab it from under the dirty water tank, which is hard on your back, or get it to upright mode and lift it from the back of the device, which leaves all the weight on the front. One is uncomfortable, the other is clumsy. It also always starts in deep cleaning mode, even if you turned it off in dry only mode. In deep cleaning it sprays water even when you aren't moving (at least when it first starts in that mode or you switch to it, I haven't had the courage to test if it keeps spraying on the same location if it stays idle in one location), so you have to switch to dry and vacuum that spot again. You can't change modes while it's upright either. You have to tilt it back (to change to dry only mode), which sprays water for no reason. The clean water tank is small, which I knew going in. What I didn't expect is the dirty water tank. It looks big, but it's actually even smaller than the clean tank, and the machine thinks it's full when it's only about a quarter full. In a small room, I fill the clean tank twice and empty the dirty tank four or five times. When the dirty tank "fills up", the machine stops vacuuming with an error. To restart it, you have to power it off and on again, which puts it back in deep clean mode even if you were in dry mode. So everything takes at least two steps, and with a tank this small you repeat it constantly. It also won't turn back on for a second or two after powering off, so you press the button, nothing happens, press again, and sometimes a third time. Then change it back to dry only mode again if you were in that mode, and clean up the water is just sprayed for no reason. Weirdly enough it doesn't give you an error or warn you (even in deep clean mode) when the clean water tank is empty. More than once I've realized halfway through a room that I'd been dry vacuuming for a while, and had to retrace my path to find where it stopped spraying. The motor sounds powerful (9.5A), but it can't pick up the excess water in one pass. I often go over the same spot two or three times until I stop seeing lots of water come up. Suction at the base might be weak, because it leaves clumps of hair and dirt in the worst places possible, usually corners and edges. You usually end up on your knees with the handheld tool, which sometimes can't pick them up either, since it's meant for water, not big clumps. The handle is hard plastic and starts to hurt your hands if you clean more than one room at a time. Overall, it cleans carpets well, but lots of small and moderate problems add up to a frustrating experience. It feels like a product from a small company that didn't think things through. At a premium price, I can't call it good value. At $150 I wouldn't complain, but at $200-300 you aren't getting what you pay for.

Easy clean up after use!!!
Performance is great. The best part is cleaning / emptying when finished, itโs so easy to clean and get ride if all the muck. There are no areas that trap nasty wet hair that can then stink because you canโt rinse that tight little spot. We purchased this to replace another model after 12 years of use but it always remained dirty in the reservoir - this model does not have that issue. The only improvement that could be made is maybe a heater but we just use warm water and it cleans with no issues.

10/10 I would buy this again in this life, and another lol.
TLDR: for new homeowners and clean freaks โ you want clean carpets? get this one. only slight annoyance for some may be the smaller tank, although I personally do not mind it. after using it for the first time today to do a whole upstairs deep clean, this carpet cleaner is definitely among my greatest adult purchases! lol. great enough to make a review asap. feels clean, smells great, and I love that itโs pet safe. instruction booklet explains usage well for those that need. not only does it generally clean well, but the stain remover does exactly what it says. I tried it on one stain that had been there for possibly a year. I was expecting to need to go over it a few times, but after simply following directions and going over it only ONCE, it was immediately gone! I was actually shocked that I just stopped right after, with my mouth agape, as the machine kept running lol. as for the water tank, it is on the smaller side than what others may prefer. personally for me however, itโs perfect. I prefer portability, so that I donโt have to heavily lug around a carpet cleaner and just clean as I go; I think having a smaller tank makes sense for that. also, on the bright side โ since the water tank is smaller, cleaning up the dirty water feels less gross (i.e. not having a huge load of dirty water to take care of all at once; I can get rid of the water with confidence, without worrying about heavy lifting and accidental splashing).

Highly recommend.
Weโve had nothing but great experiences with Shark products, and this carpet cleaner is no exception. It works really well, is easy to use, lightweight, and feels well designed. My girlfriend loves how simple it is to use, and weโre both very happy with how well it cleans. After using several Shark products over the years, theyโve become one of our go-to brands.

Easy to use and VERY effective!
I just got this today so I have used it exactly one time and did one room but oh my goodness! I can't believe how well this thing works. My carpet was not visibly dirty before starting. It's vacuumed regularly and I vacuumed it immediately before using the machine. Look at all that hair that came out! And the colour of the water. So gross! I now want to use this thing every single day until the water comes out clean. I won't... but it's tempting! It's also very easy to set up, use, and clean after. There are a few parts but everything comes out very easily and just rinses off nicely. I'm so impressed with this thing. Doing the hallway tomorrow! (ps, there's a filter in the sink drain, don't worry!)

Amazing, lightweight carpet cleaner! Instructions below ๐
1. Spray H2O2 for stains and agitated with "dry only" mode or hand tool. 2. Next, fill your clean water tank using any carpet shampoo concentrate (but you should add less concentrate for Hoover, etc). 3. At a quick walking pace, vaccum the entire room without caring about overlapping your lines. Get the detergent everywhere. 4. Fill your clean water tank with only water and vaccum your carpet at a slow walking pace and overlapping lines. 5. Repeat step 4 once or twice. 6. Monitor your waste water tank. If you aren't happy with how dirty your waster water tank is then go back to step 2. 7. Use "Dry Only", vaccum dry your carpet to acceptable levels of moisture. 8. Accelerate the drying process with fans.

Ease of use, does the job well
Easy to use, seems to be a mid grade cleaner which is perfectly fine for the home owner. Itโs not to big and bulky, and can tuck away nicely
