Wonderful transaction, great book!
This book was in excellent, nearly unused condition (first two or three pages showed crease near binding). Fast shipping, faster than predicted. A+ Thank you!

Same as the original Dear Jane Book with the EZ title.
I wanted this book for a long time, but had forgotten the name after seeing it years ago. When my sister posted a photo with a fabulous quilt in the background and I asked about it - it was this one, and I knew what book to get.I will never ever make the whole quilt - but I do want to push myself to try some of the "easy" squares and will make a very special doll quilt -My book is in great shape, used, and someone had put on a spiral binding, which was a huge bonus for me.

A Good Reference Book
This book recreates 225 patterns from the original 1863 Jane Stickle quilt. There are letters that the author wrote to Jane and it will give you a historical context of the time period of when the quilt was made. Among the patterns and letters there are photos of quilts made in the 1990's inspired by Jane's quilt. Although there are illustrations of the blocks, there are no instructions for construction of the quilt. I think an accomplished quilter could make their own patterns from the illustrationsin the book, adding seam allowances and deciding how to construct the quilt using the photos in the book. A quilt could be made using as many or as few of the blocks you wished to use. I would consider this a reference book.

I am a Dear Jane addict and like to share it,
I have completed 169 blocks and The top row of border triangles and am working on another one in addition to a 41 block sofa throw I have to quilt. I also have a small wall quilt made from reject blocks. I love these designs and they are perfect for fussy-cutting. Some blocks are very challenging, and this is why it has been called the "infamous" Jane Stickle quilt, but if you start with the easy simple ones and proceed according to difficulty, you will find your skills improving and your grasp of what methods are best for success. While Brenda is mostly accurate in drafting Jane's designs, I have made changes to make them more "like Jane's", and also plan to re-design a couple to satisfy my aesthetic desires. There is a wonderful web site accessed by googling Dear Jane with pictures of blocks and quilts made by other addicts. I am also a member of a Dear Jane Quilting bee that meets once a month. Go for it!

Awesome, received all items ahead of expected delivery dates!
I Can't wait to start this quilt. I'm trying to decide color choices and the perfect fabrics to use in my bedroom. At the same time I'm getting my house ready to sell ,since my husband passed I don't need a four bedroom. Having this quilt to focus on is a nice way to deal with the sadness that sometimes takes over. I showed my children this quilt and all four want one! I hope I live long enough to accomplish that! The challenge is on! The software for the Dear Jane quilt is wonderful, I'm so glad I ordered it, along with the Dear Jane templates.
