Great
First time user. Easy to use highly effective. We didn't know we had rodents in the garden until we realised some had eaten the bait! We'd hears neighbours had rodents in the garden so only bought as a preventative measure. So grateful to this company for easy purchase that's easy to use!

Rat attack!
I'm pretty careful when feeding my hens, but one day whilst in the run noticed several big holes in the ground. I check the run daily, so this was one nights work! Rats! I knew I had a couple of wee mice, but the bigger variety is a no no. I'm rural and near farms so I guess it was a matter of time. Only problem is they bother the hens, (pulling feathers and prying for unlaid eggs), not just there for any foodstuffs & water supply. I'm also aware my neighbour has an uncovered compost heap close by.I bought this kit as it had everything I needed to get a good start at rodent control. The only thing I had bother with was the 'lock', only one part of the key is relevant (there are 3) and its just a case of fumble until it unlocks for me. Ideal to do that on a flat surface so as not to spill the toxic contents. I used both the 'pasta' (little bags that look like rat ravioli) 5 portions threaded on to the metal pole, and the grain in the compartments each side. I'm no expert but imagine rats might have different tastes. I placed one box outwith the run and one inside, both covered and weighed down so that only rats had access and not other pets or birds. The following day there was only one hole, however I failed to notice they had used this to burrow under the wire skirt of the eglu run and coop which is placed inside the big 6 meter run, and had a party in there! Each hole I filled with grit and larger stones, adding a ground cover of chicken wire and for double protection boarding the ground over on the inside of the eglu run. It was 3 days before I was rat clear in the run, and finding a tiny access point that they had also burrowed under the outer mesh wire skirt they were no longer getting in. I've kept the bait box within the run temporarily. The box outwith the hen run was empty of poison when checking it 1.5 weeks later so I topped it up with another batch of pasta (5 pieces) and 1 bag of grain. The following day there was a dead rat laying on the ground about a meter away. Glad I got to it before the dogs! A good sign that the kit is doing what I wanted, but I am now very vigilant. I'm not an advocate of using poisons or killing animals, but where I live this could be a huge problem if it went un attended, and moving a rat humanely is just moving the problem to someone else.I would be happy to purchase this product again and use the same bait now I know that the rats are interested in it. The bait boxes will stay in place for the time being until I know I'm clear and used intermittently to prevent it happening again.UPDATE: So after having the two bait boxes in place I have found 8 rats. The hole for the rats to get into the box was too small for a couple, those were found just outwith the box, as they had obviously lay and waited for morsels to be dropped at the entrance way. My bait boxes are covered with crates so I managed to safely take a couple of bits of the 'pasta' and left it just inside the entrance for these larger specimen. Where they haven't been able to reach inside for the bait, the bait box has been nibbled, it doesn't affect the product though. I have repurchased the pasta and a similar grain and have kept the bait boxes in place as there is still evidence of pesky rats in the form of tracks in the recent snow and droppings, a farm has been shut down close by and I think I have the fall out coming my way! I cant see the poison having caused any ill effects to the surrounding wildlife, or my pets and I believe I have managed to find and dispose of the corpses safely, which were big concerns for me. Feel like I have control of the situation which is a relief!

Problem not solved!
Sorry but I have placed these in situ and they have been out in the garden where ratty was seen for 2 weeks. I was very positive about this as it was robust, easy to set up and seemed safe for other creatures . Previous reviews were favorable and, although I dislike the idea of killing anything, my neighbors and I need to be rid of this vermin. We tried a humane trap and caught one but even though released far away, we still have rats (good navigator or more rats?). Sadly the problem is still there. The box hasn't made any difference yet. Bait inside has hardly been touched and Ratty is still very active.

🤔just add chocolate 🤔
They didn’t go near it for a week. Applied small amount of melted chocolate to bait blocks worked overnight. Manufacturer add chocolate sprinkles to your mix. Might make you market leader!!!!
